OK -

you asked for it.

Or, did you? I need some unbiased opinions -
be honest !!!

Anyway -
while Flash is gone, I've been working on a project for this summer ---

so, what do you think?

The wheels are ADR Battle Exe
18" x 7.5", the tires will be
I think, I'm pretty sure
S03's 225 x 35 x 18 .... the diameter is not too far off from the original tire/wheel, so, size wize we should be fine.

It still gives us a little bit more than an inch more tread width....

yeah,

i know your gonna laugh ..... I did it myself,
put the tires and wheels on the car.......
I really need your opinions...
whether you like SVT Contours or not -

I'm working on a few more (see below)

winddysvt

So far I have 5 wheels picked out -

look below and let me know which one you like best!

winddysvt
01-27-2003, 09:54 PM
here is one of our first pictures of her ---

stock tires and wheels...

not bad...

but you know me,

some bigger tires and wheels are in order for the summertime.

That will probably be the only modification until the warranty runs out ...

besides..

I can probably imagine that there was a bet going on how long it would be before I brought the subject up again....

:D  ;) :bounce:

winddysvt
01-29-2003, 03:22 PM

winddysvt
01-29-2003, 03:24 PM

it is called a Katana

Hunter26
01-29-2003, 03:36 PM

I like the Katanas as well.

winddysvt
01-29-2003, 03:55 PM
here are the six wheels I am looking at so far,

the ones with white around them - I'm not too sure about yet....
I'm not sure if the GT wheel comes in chrome...

Hunter26
01-29-2003, 04:03 PM
I like the middle top one (Katana?) and the bottom right one. Good luck with your decision :)

I'm getting there Rich,
I'm getting there.....;)

thanks for your opinion -
I think I'm starting to agree with you....

I do not want anymore than six spokes -- I tried going with the thin spokes (seven) but it made it look ricie... Not trying to put anyone down or anything...

just that this is an SVT - i want it to look more like a BMW....

winddysvt
01-29-2003, 04:12 PM
ok -

back to the drawing board --

I'll make a better picture of the car with the Katana's on it....

heres a picture :

winddysvt
01-29-2003, 06:41 PM
ok -
here it is with the Katana's,

and I even added the brakes in there for special effects....

hey -
ya gotta admit, this is allot cheaper than buying the wheels and finding out later they were the wrong ones.....

 :D  :bounce:

I did look at the Konigs Josh -

thanks for the picture,
thats what I need!

I just do not want any more than six spokes.

Five would be best --

and, they need to be chrome --
so that limits our choice as well.

If I'm going to stick with silver - than I'll just keep what I have...

keep em coming !!

i looked at these as well --

excellant choices and pictures Josh!!

However,
I don't think they made them in the size that I want .... or in chrome? ? gotta find out

my choices are limited - 4 lug, CHROME and 18 x 7.5 or 8 ---

even the tire size we want is limited by brand....
fortunately Bridgestone makes the S03 that will fit..... 225 x 35 x 18 .....

so far..

Out of the six wheels you posted there Winddy, I like number 4 best. I also like the first pic Josh had with the black Contour. Those rims were KICKIN'! :D ;)

first off, I liked the Katana's the best, and secondly.... with a silver car I would put silver wheels... I kind of like the wheels some what matching the car. Sort of like interior decorating in a house. Things just blend better. ;) ;) ;)

not of course putting down chromies :D :D :D

cause on a red, blue, black, white, yellow, mystic.... chrome looks awesome!

just my $0.02

reallly?
thats what my son says as well ...

maybe I'd better rethink this...

I guess I need to find a silver car with chromies on it to get an idea of what your saying.....

if anyone finds a picture of one - let me know....

back to the drawing board !!! .....

the only problem is --

that around here that is what most of the SVT Contours have on them...

I want mine to look like mine....

but then again, I don't want it to look dumb --

so I'm greatly appreciating all the help ...

keep it coming !!

Bonny I used to have a full size 96 bronco that was dark blue and silver, and it had polished wheels from ford. As soon as I put silver wheels it pulled everything together and I got soooooooo many comments on how that truck looked..... kinda makes me wonder where she is now :( :( :(

I'll see if I can dig one up and post it for you to see.;)

We want to the World of Wheels show in Chicago today --

guess what I found....

the wheel that I was originally looking at....

and I saw a beautiful silver SS Camaro (custom paint job) with chrome wheels on it.....

I'm gonna show you a picture of it...

but for now ...

here it is again -- do you still not like it -
or what do you think? Doesn't it grow on you?

Matt -

don't worry I haven't made my mind up yet --

I did find a few others im working on....

but that silver car looked awesome with chrome wheels ---

everyone liked it....

I was thinking, to have some graphics painted on the car --

black --

nothing major, just some scrolling or something.....

at the bottom - or silver fading into black....

that would look awesome with the wheels and offset the silver a bit....

those really are nice wheels! I think they will be a pain to keep clean on a winter driven car. (even for you) I don't have any pics on the comp of my old truck... wish I did tho. I can mail you one if you'd like.....

your so right! It's wild to see all these people buying chrome wheels and driving them thru the snow and the salt -- they are going to be in for a huge surprise...

anyway - I'm keeping my stock tires and wheels for wintertime.

Here is another wheel that I'm interested in - what do you think about this one?

Bonny, I was refering to the momo's. The ones that you asked if they were the same as pictured in the silver contour. I like the wheels you posted in reference to the momo's. Don't mean to be mean, but the wheels Brian like, are my least favorite out of all of them. Just my opinon.

Just wanted to let you know that I've been a hold on my wheel purchase --
were gonna try to buy an enclosed trailer this year if we can.......
that doesn't leave much.

But I like those Enkei's too Brian....

I'll be keeping my eye on them, who knows maybe I'll find a used set with tires and everything!
