Hi all,

I am joining your board in hope for some help.

I found a 93 cobra in IL, black, grey leather, #63, with 17,000 miles, flowmaster exhaust, and custom stereo are the only deviations from stock. The guy is asking $15,750, is this price right? Ad says the car has never seen rain or snow, non-smoker, and is always garaged kept, original owner, has all dealer documentation. I have not scheduled to see the car yet and if all of this is in line and the car is a un-molested virgin, no accidents, is the price about right? I already have the money for when I find one. I just got a new job promo and I can't think of a better gift to sit next to my vortech 89 convertible. I just need current guidence in pricing out the 93 year, and I want stock condition. These cars are getting harder to find each year I wait so I am seriously considering jumping on one if it is as clean as some of the sales ads suggest.

I figured I could get some input on the price ranges from this board.

Thank you, the new guy.

Thanks, I checked a dealer KAR mustang in Ohio who always has a few of these and his price was a few grand higher on comparable 93 cobras.

That’s a little high. I wouldn’t say it’s completely out of line, just a tad high. About 5 years ago I paid a couple thousand more than that, but mine only had 2,700 miles at the time. See if you can talk them down a little more, then do what your heart tells you. Personally, even if they didn’t come down any more I would still buy it at that price. But then again, I’m biased. :D

Black Snake,

Yep I am also more than biased. I have been trying to get a hold of the guy for two days now. I have cash in hand so I can do the strong arm technique. Remainder of money is at the bank already preapproved for the loan on it. People rarely turn down cash if they are truely inclined to sell. The woman already gave me the go ahead, she is horrible to this sickness of mine, she said if it makes me happy just buy it. How could a cobra not?

Thanks for the help.

Bahhh,

It was sold already. It inhales when you have money in hand and you are ready to go, guess it wasn't meant to be this time.

Thanks for the help.

I will drown my sorrows in the summit catalog this weekend for my droptop. It can always use more parts, long tubes are in the garage waiting to go on this weekend.
