I wanted to go ahead and get this up in plenty of time. Holcomb Motorsport's Civil Wars Drag Race and Car Show at Rockingham Dragway is coming up on April 26-27. Once again, Carolina Stangs will be running the Car Show on Saturday. And, as far as I know, River City Mustang Club of Danville VA, will be running the Sunday Car Show. Saturday's show will be broken down into classes by year/make/model. The show isn't just for Mustangs, all Ford-powered vehicles are welcome. Sunday's show is normally Top 20.

In 2002, we had over 50 cars in the show on Saturday....there is no reason that we couldn't have 200 if we have good participation of all the region's Mustang clubs. Some people think that because there car is not "show only" and they drive it daily that it wouldn't do good in a car show. That is not the case at all. Most in shows are daily drivers (mine included). Wash up your ride, slap on a coat of wax, vacuum and wipe down the inside and come hang out! I'm hoping to get together a cruise-in somewhere in the Rockingham/Southern Pines area for that Saturday night. That way those that were there for the show on Saturday will already be there and ready for the show on Sunday. I'll be posting about that if I get something set up.

I hope to see everyone there! This would be a really good time to have some conversation about everyone's plans for Mustang Week at Myrtle Beach!! www.mustangweek.com

It dawned on me last night that the two events conflicted each other. Oh well, I'm obligated to be at the Rock! Oh yeah, Rodcobra informed everyone that one of the prizes for Saturdays show is two nights motel stay at Myrtle Beach during Mustang Week!

Next year we need to try and avoid conflict so we can get everyone to go to both. Our event in Atlanta is their annual meeting too so it should have a good turnout.

On the MW event. I still say that July is too hot for the event and no way my wife would go but if it were in say May or November, then we're talking. ;)

Tony,
You are right about the heat....but that's the time to be in Myrtle Beach, IMO. That way the significant other can go to the beach and pool while I attend events w/ the car. Also, I like running around w/ the windows down!!!!!! Next year we will work on the timing of events.

Sounds like someone needs a convertible.

I'll only make the show on Sunday. The week after that I'll be in D.C. so I have to work that last Saturday night in April. I guess you guys will go over everything about the Civil Wars this weekend at the GC in Cary?
