Tony asked me to post about when we might wanna do a fall open track event at CMP. Dates being considered are as follows:
November 1st and 2nd (we would move fall drag to November 15th)
OR
October 18th and 19th
What date looks better for everyone? And...who is 100% sure that he/she could make it the weekend that they choose?

The 18th and 19th is supposed to be the weekend of the Dragon Cruise?? I could make it either weekend but the chances of good weather are better in October. That would mean we would need to move the Dragon Cruise to either early October or Early November.

That's what Tony is trying to decide I think. He mentioned the Dragon Cruise, and moving the Drag day to 2 weeks after the event if it was in November. Fall drag day is November 8th weekend right now.
**You getting ready to ship the car off to True Blue Greg?

They are going to build the short block over the next couple of weeks. I'll be taking it down there after the Lowes Auto Fair. Should only be there max of two weeks to get the valve job done, the new heads installed and the new block in the car. That will give me about 3 weeks to break in the motor before the drag day! :D

WE don't want to move the dragon run, We try to hit peak foliage, so early oct or early NOv. is out for that. My thoughts is lets hit first of NOV. for CMP and move the drag day.

I'll be at Summit Point with Nasa on November 1 & 2, so October would be better for me! It would be a nice Birthday present too!(October 20)
Would it be more difficult to obtain instructors if we were having an event the same weekend as NASA? I'm sure Shugg and others wouldn't be able to make it.
