I am planning to install a Scroth Rallye 4 harness in my 96 and I noticed the bolt that attached the lap belt to the floor is not a std. hex type or socket head. Is a special tool reqd. to remove this? I would like to remove it the easy way instead of tearing it up with a pair of vise grips or a chisel. Any help would be appreciated.

It is a takes a "star" bit to remove it. If I remember right there are some other fasteners of that type on our cars as well. You can pick up a cheap set of various sizes at most any autoparts store.
