Well, after the long hard battle, the cobra finally moved under it's own power at approximately 9:16pm last night. Taking that engine out and putting back in is definately a chore, but all in all I did pretty well I think. Total labor hours was up there, but not too bad. The car was taken to up to True Blue Wednesday afternoon. I had it all done, or so I thought. The only thing I messed up on was the grounding wire for the block, Randy caught it right away (when the car didn't start). A few little here and there's and the car was running under it's own power. When Randy went to take it out on it's maiden voyage, the car would not go into gear. DOH!! They pulled the dust cover off and everything looked normal. They said the clutch disk was in backwards more than likely. And, of course, it was. I towed it all the way back here, and tore it apart (long tubes haunt me again) and sure enough, it was backwards. I ended up getting a wicked cool clutch for it from Brother's Performance. I finished buttoning the car up last night, and now it's got 79.6 easy miles on it. This car is begging the driver for boost, but I just can't do it. The miles are coming on quickly and soon, if i'm around, the car will get it's dyno day!! Pics to come shortly.... Let me clean it first:D

Me too!! This car flat out rocks!! It's gonna take everything i've got to stay out of that throttle. I've got to change the oil at 500 miles and after that I can take her up to 5500 rpms. But still, no hard pulls. At 1000 miles I've gotta bring it back to TBP and they'll change the oil and tune the girl to my liking.

Congrats...

But...it's not that hard to stay out of the throttle....just look at all your receipts anytime you feel the urge....cures it very quickly!! :)

I almost cry every time I look at them. With that being said, I try to keep them put away where they belong. I hate looking at those things. :D

It looks great!! Since you're in the country why not come up to Autofair at Lowes in Charlotte?? Everyone who hasn't would like to meet you. I'd like to see you again also. We have one spot available for Saturday and Sunday I believe...COME ON UP! :D

My car is NOT A SHOW CAR! ha ha ha. I'd come in dead last for sure. :D I s'pose I could go up there, but I could only go for the saturday event. It'd be nice to put the miles on the cobra :D. I believe that'd finish off my "break in" miles. Honestly, I won't be able to go up there. I'm right at my financial spending point until next payday:D Is there any other events coming up soon?? I'll go the drag day for sure if they don't ship me out again. I ordered my tires (nitto 315/35 drag radials) so that pretty much tapped out my car fund. Also, saving for the chip and dyno runs. :D

You should definitely come out to the Autofair this weekend...

I'll be there both days (Sat/Sun) and according to Rob when he dropped his '93 Cobra off Wednesday...there are some EXTREMELY nice cars in our tent.

If I would have known about this event earlier, I would have definately came over there. But, it's just too little of notice, even though i'm not doing anything otherwise. I'll be sure to keep an eye on the "upcoming events" forum more:D. I have to work on sunday at 4pm, so that'd put a hamper on my fun for sunday. :(

Just so you guys will know, Josh was shipped back to the sand yesterday. It was a very quick deployment, with less than 1 days warning. Hopefully he will be back in time for the Drag Day event.
