IVE BEEN TOO BUSY DRIVING IT TO LOOK...HAS ANYONE DISCONNECTED THE WARNING SYSTEM FOR THE SEAT BELTS..

Why would you want to disconnect your belts?! I cannot understand you guys who drive around in your cars, giving all of us bad names. Is this a drag racing mentality? Road racers always use their belts! Otherwise we would be thrown out of the car in a corner!!! You must not have ever hit a solid object. It WILL KILL YOU the first time!! Keep your belts ON TIGHT!!!!!!!

no, no, no..., It just disables the annoying alarm. If I want to move your car around in the driveway without the seatbelt on, I think I should be allowed to without all the noise.

YA WHAT HE SAID....I DONT LIKE BELLS AND WHISLES IN A SPORTS CAR....I HAD A Z06 FOR THAT...AND FOR BELTS I USE ANYTHING BUT FACTORY,,,ROPE , CHAIN, GARDEN HOSE,LOL[SIMPSON,RJS,RCI ] IM LIKE YOU ID LIKE TO WALK AWAY FROM MY MISTAKE,,,OR OTHERS......BUT YOUR POINT IS WELL TAKEN

Okay, here is the trick!!!
And by the way.... Ford has one of the highest seatbelt use numbers due to the warning!
You have to put the belt on at first. Then start the Ford. Then undo the belt after the car is running. It should take care of the constant bell warning. You can drive around your driveway all you want.

Have you guys noticed that your seat belts have an annoying and useless "half-twist" to them? That is, they don't seem to lay flat across your chest and shoulder as it comes up and over.

Mine were screwy so I got a torx bit and flipped the belts a half turn. Much nicer! I got rid of those freakin' worthless belt holders atop the corner of the seats too.

Just wanted to know if this was true of everyone's Cobra, or just mine.

I have had a 99 GT, a 00 GT, and now an 01 Cobra, and they all have those wonderful twists. Not a problem after awhile. As for the plastic ring holder... it will knock you or your loved ones out if not careful so watch it! It is good to set the belt lower down for young adults so that the belt fits better.
