I've been impressed with the tidbits I've heard from magazines regarding this system: quiet at low RPMs (second valve in muffler opens at high RPM), x pipe after the muflers (not sure if this is optimal, but supposedly a lot of time/development went into it). Only problem is I've not heard from many folks who use it.
Ford says the system they have is for the '01 Cobra, but have heard it fits well on the '03. Has anybody had problems with fitment? Does it produce the same power as bassani, and the like? Is $700 a fair price for the system?
Thanks,
Jason

By the way,
To see the exhaust, looks like you'll have to put in part number
M-5230-M58
Seems my link will only get you to the homepage.
Sorry....

I am using the FR500 catback with the Magnaflow X/cats. I do have a slight fitment issue in the fact that it sits about an inch lower on the '03 compared to the '01 but the tips are in the exact same position. I am having the install shop look at it in the morning. Compared to the Magnaflow catback I lost 3rwhp and 6rwtq on the dyno. I cannot tell it on the street. The sound from the system is a bit deeper than stock but retains the stock sound levels inside the car except at WOT where it is a bit louder. It is also a little louder with the X-pipe than the stock H pipe. A good price would be $599 plus shipping/tax.

Did you pick it up for $599?
I assume the only place to get it is the Ford Dealerships?
Do they cut some of the mark-up off from the $699 list price?
Thanks,
Jason

I had my shop order it. You can buy it on-line from Gene Evans Ford at that price I believe. http://www.gefracing.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=GRPP&Product_Code=M5230M58&Category_Code=FEX
