I've had the Phantom 5'' Monster Tach sitting in my room for almost a year now, so i figured I'd get it put in the car. I didn't want to drill holes in my dash, so i figured i'd make my own custom bracket. My friend was a huge help, and probably did most of it with me telling him what I wanted. He's very talented, and did an awesome job of bringing to life the ideas in my head.
Here come the pics:

Using just a sheet of steel, he cut a small plate and drilled the holes so the factory screws would go through to secure the bracket to the car.

Using and "eyeballed" angle, we welded another piece of steel to the plate he just drilled. The angle is to keep the bracket from hitting the dash.

We cleaned up the steel, and shaved off the excess steel to create a smooth finish.

Since the tab on the tach is aluminum, he couldn't weld the steel to it. So we built our own plate for it. Here's the base of the plate welded to the bracket.

Just another view of the tab.

Just a trial fit.

Everything fit perfectly, but we did have to "message" the cover plate for the a/c and radio a little, but nothing you'd be able to see.

And here's the finished product. It turned out awesome I think. If anyone likes what they see here, my room mate says he'll make them for anyone that may want them. Post here, or email if interested.

Sweet custom fabrication work man. I wish I could have done that instead of drilling into the dash.:D

Nice work! Pretty soon you'll need to file a flight plan before you fire that beastie up! ;)

Wow, where'd this come from??:D:D:D This is for looks only for now. Maybe next year, i'll run the lines and spray a 25 shot at it or something. This is just a 5.0L dry kit I got off of my friend for DIRT CHEAP.

Thanks Ken. I want 3 more guages, and that'll be it. I NEED the fuel pressure guage, and I want the A/F guage, and Exhaust Gas Temp. :D

Thanks a lot. It took a lot of trial and error, but we got it all figured out. It was fun to build, and we are both extremely happy with the way it all came out. Definatley looks good IMO. If you ever want one, throw me a PM or something.
