I've always thought those were pretty cool looking. If I was in the market for a small car I would really consider one. How would you rate the car on quality, handling and pep?

Stu,
We went and test drove before buying, a very nice experience by the way. The salesperson just gave me the keys and asked that I be back in an hour or so. Handling, think go-cart. Acceleration: It obviously doesn't have the torque or horsepower of my Cobra, but is respectable. 163 hp and 155 lbs. Like any 4-cylinder, it needs to be rev'd for power. I took it out on the Autobahn and it runs quite nicely at 120 :). The six speed tranny is quite nice. I started browsing the Mini boards.....205 hp is merely an exhaust, chip and blower pulley away.

Cheers

Mac

NICE !!

my bosses partner has one .....

red mini "S"

he handed me the keys one day and said to take it for a drive....

so I did....

I expected the same thing.....

"go Kart".... NOT !!!!!

nice car !! Sounds great and takes corners like there aren't even there.... without throwing your passenger around....

a fun little car, congrats!

At long last "Joe Mini" shows up on our doorstep :). I had forgotten what a rush it is to drive. I thought you all would like some pics. I also figured out what the definition of "hard" is: Having a new Cooper S and living 5 minutes from an unrestricted Autobahn. Alas, I have to wait 1250 miles before > 4500 rpm. Time to get busy....what errands can I do?

The Cobra is headed for third car.....pampered status when we return next spring.

Cheers from Germany

those cars actually handle very well. We had one show up at one of our autocrosses and it did well, and surprised quite a few cobra owners!
