Just changing plugs and found oil in the # 6 and # 2 plug wells. It is not i the cylinder just in the well. Looks like it is leaking from the gasket of the valve cover. Has anyone else had this type of oil problem?

Also found that the original plugs are double plat on the driver side and regular plat on the passenger side. What is up with this engine?

when I changed my originals it was the same thing, different from side to side. For local mod motor help or service, call Robert Hindman 865-688-7890. His shop is located on tazewell pike and he is quite fair in his pricing. Rich Bowden in the club is one of his customers too.

:) Well the good news is that the oil was from a leaking valve cover gasket and nothing more serious.
:( The bad news is it is happening to both sides and the shop did not have the gaskets in stock so no Cobra for a few days.
:D The really good news is that the extended warrenty is covering the full cost including overnighting the parts so car should be good a new by the middle of this week. :bounce:

Ths shop foreman told me that I had swithched to synthetic oil in the past year. I said yes and asked how he knew. He said that this has happened before and that synthetic will sometimes cause the gaskets to deform and leak. Ain't that special.

Oh well I should get it back just in time to head to Blue Oval for the MM full subframes and Pro 5.0 shifter. I plan to go synthetic in the trans and rearend when I put in the shifter.

I just want to go faster!!!!!!:flash:

Glad you got it taken care of, especially under the extended warranty.

How many miles were on your Cobra when you switched to synthetic?

Had about 18,000 miles running synthetic.
