hey guys,

i was driving home to day. as i was driving home i noticed my shifting was getting harder and harder to get into gear. now with the car running its almost impossible to get it into gear. with the car off it goes right into gear. any ideas. i was thinking possible clutch. the car has only 5000 miles on it. but i bought it with 4000 miles. any answeres would be greatley appreciated.

If you have a floor mats, try sliding them back so the clutch pedal will go all the way down. I bet if you press the clutch pedal really really hard, then it will go into gear easier. Also, if you have some kind of pedal covers, they will sometimes prevent the clutch pedal from traveling all the way to the floor. Your clutch should be fine if you only have 5000 miles on it. If not, look into an adjustable clutch cable.
