Ok Ok I know it sounds strange but for going to the track it would be nice to be able to have a small trailer for tires and such. I know I could go the other direction and get a trailer to put the Cobra on but that means buying something that can pull a trailer with a Cobra on it! Right now that is out of my reach, especially since my fun budget goes for tires and go fast parts for said Cobra.

So I know some of you have gone this route. What type of hitch have you used? Pros? Cons? Does it show much when not in use or is it hidden?

Thanks

I helped put a hitch on Blown96Snake's car. It was a Hide-a-Hitch I think. Construction was nice and installation was easy (with the right tools :D). One of the nice things about that hitch was the tounge came off. With the tounge off it is hard to tell the car has a hitch on it.

Hey Speedfreak, what kinda bike trailer do you pull? The hitch on my 99 is a class one (1 1/4") and I may wnat a small two bike trailer to get my duc on.

I've seen two trailer hitches that fit our cars, both are pretty inconspicuous.

I have the Draw Tite model with a 1 1/4" receiver. I needed the square receiver to be compatible with my bicycle rack. It's also been used many times to haul tires, tools and spares (never the right ones) to the track using a 4x8 trailer from Harbor Freight. Installation was pretty easy and it uses the existing bumper attachment points, so no extra holes. BTW, once mounted all you can see from behind the car is the receiver.

Reese offers their "Shadow" hitch, with a flat bar type receiver. It's a bit less noticeable, offers the same carrying capacity, but isn't as universally compatible with other manufacturers racks and accessories.
