I'll be there all three days! I had a blast at the April event with these guys, they really put on a great event with lots of track time and relaxed fun atmosphere!
The transponders are a great tool for measuring your own progress, as well as bragging rights to your fellow track addicts!
Although you guys just did your own TWS event a couple weeks ago, perhaps those that couldn't make it, or need another adrenaline rush, can come on out and play!
hope to see ya at the track, Trixie

Is this the TWS local club holding the event?? Motorsport Club??
or is it Porsche Club?
just wondering?... boy, I sure wish I could make it, but I promised my wife I would cool it on the track events for a little while?.. I've done 5 TWS events, 1 Hallet event, 1 Motorsport Ranch event, and 1 MidAmerica event so far this year!! I sure have had some fun wearing out 3 sets of Hoosiers, 1 set of Dunlop racing slicks (wore those out in one weekend at MSR) and a half a set of Michelin Sport Cups.
You guys have fun!! I might be able to make it for a little while to spectate? are spectators allowed at this event?
by the way, TWS clockwise is a RUSH! And very fast that way.. I have done it a few times.. it changes the entire complexion of the track!

It's an organization called Speed Venture's, they are extremely popular at California tracks. Check out their website at www.speedventures.net
Wow, impressive track schedule this year!! Mine has been limited a bit, due to blowing the motor in the RX-7 :( I'm hoping to get my stock '89 Saleen on the track soon though! Should be interesting to see how much I need to tweak my line and driving style for this entirely different car!
I've only done the 2.9 clockwise once, and you're right, it's a wild ride! Do you by any chance have any in-car video running this configuration?!!
I'm pretty sure spectators are welcome, I'll confirm and let you know. We would love to have you guys come up!

Trixie As a matter of fact, I DO have some incar video of me and the R doing the clockwise configuration... It was my first event of the year (Jan. 16th) and it was COLD!! About 35 degrees at track time... and I was running a brand new set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires that had not been heat cycled... and I went off into the grass in the Carousel... the video gets a bit bumpy, but I rode it out into the grass and got back on the track. No damage to the car, just my ego!;)
I was getting every bit of 155-160 coming into turn one going that direction... whew!! It is a faster track going clockwise, for sure! One turn I don't like as well going that direction is the old turn 7... to me, it is even more dangerous going clockwise than counterclockwise?!! maybe its just me?? I dunno? but it sure is fun!!!
ya'll have fun!!! I may actually drive the R out there just to watch... I have not driven it in almost 3 weeks... need to take her out for a cruise to CS.

hey Andy,
I would love to see the in-car video running clockwise, and if only your ego was hurt, then consider yourself lucky! I had a spectacular spin off of Turn 2 (counter clockwise) due to avoiding hitting an NSX that spun in front of me, but it still hurt my ego and got my car really dirty. I had the video camera in the car, but NOT turned on, too bad cause people said it was a beautiful spin.
So far, I really prefer running the track the 'normal' direction, but it's most likely due to familiarity.
Bring the R out, she deserves some cruisin time.
