Budget mods for 99 Cobra...

Any recommendations as to the most cost effective go fast mods I can make to my 99 Cobra? 4.30 gears? $3-4000 limit?

4.30 gears,($170) offroad H or X pipe ($200+), pulleys ($180) and timing adjuster ($180??).

That would give you a nice bump in power as well as the gears giving you a tremendous seat-of-the-pants feeling.

what gears are 170 maybe jsut for the gears but it would be alot more then that to get them put in right?

Those are parts, labor will vary depending on who/where you have them installed or if you install any of the parts yourself.

I have a 99 cobra with the following mod's. 4:10 gears($700.00), magnaflow cat-back with x-pipe $300.00, C&L 80mm mass air kit $300.00, BBK TB $300.00, PRO-5 SHIFTER $200.00, underdrive crank pulley, 180 degree thermostat, autologic dynotuned chip $450.00. 312RWHP, 302RWT naturally aspirated. It pulls like a MONSTER and sounds like THUNDER. I love the car, and I don't play the radio that much because the motor sounds awesome when running through the gears. The racecar growl intimidates the heck out of other drivers. I need bigger tires. The tires I have are 255-45-zr17, one size up from stock, stiil not big enough. I raced a 03 BMW M3 THE OTHER DAY and smoked so bad I went sideways, I eventually caught him and passed him at around 5000rpm, I overwhelmed him with horsepower. I raced a mercedes AMG, man those things are fast, I beat him but smoked the hell out of my tires from 2nd to 3rd(forgot to turn TC OFF). The car has 33,000 miles on it and I only drive it on the weekends. I look forward to the weekends and driving my racecar. It sucks when it rains on the weekends, because I don't drive in the rain, it's a waste of time. No traction, and the car gets to dirty.
