View Full Version : What's the "blower" idiot light for?

I can't find an explanation in any of the manuals. It just comes on when I first start up. I'm assuming it's either a "Yes, you have boost" light, or "Hey, there's a gerbil in your blower" warning.
Anyone?

My guess is that it tells you that the light is working. All the lights should flash on for a second when the car starts to show that the light is not burned out.

I am assuming you are referring to the green light...that is your Traction control light.

Whats the strangest is the little yellow arrow light thats not in the manual and it comes on I assume to tell me to shift but it comes on right after I shift and it come on at a real low rpm I like to shift close to 3000 rpms but it has me shifting so low I'm doing 30 mph in 6 gear.

Yeah, now that I look at it, it does kinda look like a tire.

HeHeHeHe. Don't feel too bad you're not the first one that thought that was for the blower. I guess having a 99 before I never made the connection because I already knew but I can see how someone who never saw it before could make that leap....maybe. Chuckle chuckle.;) :D

DIg a little deeper in your books there is a supplelment cobra manual seperate from the mustange manual that has all the cobra info and the yellow arrow is your shift point its telling you when to shift and mine seems to be set at 2500 rpms should get good gas milage shifting by that arrow if you want the ECU to learn how you drive drive it the way you want to but every time you pull the battery lose over 30 minutes you have to teach the ECU all over again like I shift at 3000rpms. If you are talking about that green light that looks like a wheel thats your traction control. Just paid my car off it's all mine what a good feeling :bounce:
