Hey there folks !! Anyone here have any experience with the Kenne Bell Cold Air Induction Kit ?? I bought one and placed it on my 03 Cobra the other day. It's the Kit with the 12-inch K&N filter. It seems to be helping out quite considerably. I have noticeable pick-up power compared to the stock Filter and box. If you guys have put one in....is the filter to supposed to be down that close to the bottom of the car??? I tried to feed it up further into the quarter panel, but couldn't get it to go up any further. It seems to be okay, just a little worried about it getting wet if there is any rain out. It seems to still be protected by the wheel-well cover. By the way....have you guys ever played around with the wheel well cover on the front end ?? The thing is PLASTIC !! I couldn't believe it !! It made it easier to install the filter, but, wow, Plastic ?!?!?

Also....what do you guys think with this concern.....I was thinking that with this CAI installation, I was a little worried about what the dealer would say or do if I brought the car in for any warranty work. I am also having that very loud "tick" sound coming from the front left cylinder heads, and don't want them to deny any work because of the CAI kit. What do you think ??

Take the filter off and broing it in to the dealership. Any mod, will give them reason to void your warranty. As hard as it is to not mod the 03's, when you do, you may have to -pay the price. Wait till it is out of warranty and then go for broke!:doubt:

I just installed one it sounds close to yours I allmost stopped in the middle to put the stock back in because it was a ***** and my filter is stuffed inside the right finder well and to get to the filter I'm going to have to undo the weather shield in the fender and still don't know how hard its going to be to get it off to clean it mine is a Densecharger#9 I'm going to get exhaust done tomorrow the warrenty book says the want pay for repair due to the mods not because you installed mods. I might be taking that dam intake back off anyway before its over the filter is inside the the dam finder well never heard such a thing though it wasn't any easier to get the stock filter out
