It sure was a great time last year!! But then, it's always a good time getting together with our Cobra buddies :bounce: :bounce:

I've printed the registration form, and now I just have to see if Scott will be off. Keep your fingers crossed.

There is no fee to come and watch but you have to bring the R so everyone can see it on display. :) We also reserve the right to recruit you.... :rotf:

Any volunteers for this job?? ;)

A long, long time ago there was some discussion about certain people bringing certain kinds of weather with them - the kind of weather we don't want to mention here :nono: Perhaps that is ancient history, and we can all look forward to a lot of    :D

The Mach had a *small*, yet unfortunate, meeting with a tree (thank God it wasn't ME driving it when it happened). Not *much* damage, but no way it will be fixed in time for the show.

My question is, how will the judging be done this year? I don't know if I should come with a big bandaid on the rear light/bumper or just stay home this year :(

Scocher -- I was the one parked next to you last year with the white Steeda car. Traded that in on my Mach ;)

Donna,

Bring the car anyway. In order to be fair to everyone like last year. We will have the ACFA (Atlanta Camaro & Firebird Association)and the GA F-Body club judge the cars.

I'll be bringing the 94 droptop this year. Too much fun to drive on the highway! :bounce:

i would like to go to this. I have never showed my car before. what would i need and some hints so i do not look too stupid not knowing anything about it. I know some people have posters and stuff under there hoods i gotta have one of those? you guys know pretty much everything i have done to my car. what class would i be in? I have no idea. I do not know what they would say about the paint to put me in a class. It would not be fair to count that as one "mod" which was 7 grand for one mod like a diablo chip that you can not see. Any ideas on what i should do or who i could talk to?

Hey! Sorry about your car. Unfortunately, we won't be making it to the show this year :( I'm really surprised you remember us! Have fun at the show. Will we see you at the 5th?

Nick,

Your car would be considered "modified" since it has more then 7 mods and a custom paint job. It would be hard to put it in the personalized category with the paint job.

I wouldn't worry so much about a banner for your car or a display as much as I would keeping it clean. Basically, the judges will check for cleanliness and not how many displays you have out for show.

Having an unusual car like yours would certainly be a plus and showing off the paint would only help it out. Be sure to Zaino that thing this week to really bring the brilliance out. Being new to the show scene, I would tell you that you want to look at the car from an outward appearance and make sure the trunk and wheels are extremely clean. Vacuum the interior and get everything off the package tray in the rear window. Clean the rngine compartment and shine up any chrome accessories.

We have a section on the website by Scott Winger on how to prepare for shows. If it isn't there, I can copy it and send it to you via e-mail. No question is stupid so ask if you are not sure so you will be prepared and will have your car stand out among the others.

Good Luck!

i know nothing about this zano stuff or how to clean my engine that well. For me i see all this crap about getting water on a hot block cracks it and all the electronics (i do not really know what all is considered electronics and to keep water away from) TO my i just spray it down at the car wash i do not know what engine cleaners to use or any of that stuff. When i clean it i wash it with a cloth and then use that mr clean auto dry deal let it sit for a bit then take a shammy to it back it in to the shade and hand wax it. then i will just vacume out the inside and put some cleaner on the dash and then i clean the leather seats.

Just a reminder to all that the fourth annual SCMC Gwinnett Ford car show is just one week away! I hope many of you can join us. It would be great to have this be the biggest and best show ever. The show starts at 8am and goes until 4pm. We are planning a dinner on Saturday night for all club members to attend. I think it will be at Dave & Buster's near Gwinnett Mall.

Please let me know if you are planning to attend the dinner and the show but have not yet registered.

See ya soon,

Isn't the show only a WEEK away? ;) I'm not a member (Don't own an SVT, just a new Mach 1 w/ a Cobra engine) ... but can we go to Dave & Busters too? We'll be down there Saturday night like we were last year!

All,

We have planned a pre-show dinner outing Saturday night for all that want to attend (members or not). We are meeting at 7pm at Max and Erma's on Steve Reynolds Blvd. It is only a few blocks away from Gwinnett Place Ford. We have a room to ourselves and they serve all kinds of great food. They have a web site: http://www.maxandermas.com. Please let me know if you are attending this outing.

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend the show. My 10 year olds birthday party is this Sunday, SO, I think I should be there with him! :D ;) We have to stop having events on Sundays as I drive to Wilmington, NC to work on Sunday nights and it makes it to hard for me to attend! :D ;) ;)

Rain or shine it is on. Most T-storms are in the afternoon to evening. Just bring some change for raffle prizes as lunch is supposed to be provided by the dealership.

See ya Sunday!

I drive my car a lot. So i do not know if it is show quality. I can not really compete with people who just have cars in there garage and pull them in on a flat bed :( I will see if i can make it on Saturday the 15th. I do not like to drive the car when it rains (that is why i did not go to the show today)

Nah, there won't be many of those flatbed cars there! The last show we had I think 2 or 3 came in trailers. All of the Mustangs in our club that will be there are daily drivers. It's all for fun. We've also added a "Club with most Participation" award and a "Furthest Distance Travelled" trophy as well! Please consider coming down, it will be a great time, and for a great cause. Besides the fact you'de probably have the most awesome looking car there!!!

I am going to try to make it. I have been to a few shows and every time i go i spend about 3 or 4 hours clenaing up my car. I get there and i see nothing but cars comeing out of enclosed trailers with 2 miles on the odomoder. It is crazy. If it is for a good cause i am all for it. I hate to see it when i go to these things and people worry about winning and not about the good things the money goes to. So i will ask for this day off. I might have to leave really early.
