Hi everyone! I'm new here and wanted to introduce myself. I am the proud owner of a 2001 Laser red Cobra. It's bone stock other than the 4.30 gears in it. I'm researching on exhaust right now but have NO IDEA what to go with. I don't want obnoxiously loud, but I want people to hear the thing when I go by. Anybody have any idea what my car would run in the 1/4?? I beat a 00 Trans Am that runs 13.3 pretty bad (a few cars). Not planning on taking it to the track, but I'm curious to what I can and can't hang with. Thanks for any info and advice you might have!!!

hi , welcome to the board.
Nice choice in cars
I would say look into getting a Magnaflow midpipe and Catback.
Having to guess, your car should be good for mid to low 13, but you will never know until you take it to the track :D

I like the Magna Flow I put on my `03 .. Sounds good and its not loud unless you got a heavy foot, which I can`t seem to help myself from having that problem.. :D Check out e-Bay for the cat-back . I got mine for $360 w/free shipping   hope this helps....

Hello and welcome. Going with exhaust is all about personal preference. All of them sound different, so if you're going for sound, then it's best to try www.mustangexhaust.com and see if you hear one you like. The pricing differences come from material, construction and overall quality. Most are pretty equal when it comes to horsepower increases, so that really shouldn't effect which one you go with. Some of the nicer pieces such as Magnaflow, Bassani and borla are going to cost you more than Flowmaster and Mac, but they fit like a glove, and are of stainless construction (guarenteed to last forever). They offer that "quiet at idle, and loud when you're on the gas. MAC and Flowmaster have the more "deep and loud" tone and are cheaper. But they do rust out over time. Go to mustangexhaust.com and listen to a few sound files on there to help aid your decision.
