stock?

i just got my cobra a little while back and i was lookign around. I have not seen any that say cobra on the back. all of them say mustang. mine says cobra. I was wondering why they put them on some and why not on others.

Also my cobra has the snake on the front. Is this stock? or was this added on there? there is no grill just the snake.

The 93-94 cobras did not have a bumper that said "COBRA." But in 96 they changed the rear bumper to where it did say "COBRA." As for the grill emblem, all mustangs (including cobras) come stock with the running horse in the grill, the cobra was just an add-on. :thumbsup:

thanks a lot. Also under the hood it says cobra on the back of the hood it is like some weird type of material that is black. I have no idea what all they did to my car before i got it. But i know the shifter is not stock. It says pro50.com on the side. Who ever put the shifter on put it on the wrong way. ha ha it would not go in to 1st, 3rd or 5th becuase the shifter woudl hit the radio. So I had to take off the boot and switch the shifter around so that it woudl go in to all gears.
So is the piece on the underside of the hood stock?
how much did it cost them for the front cobra upgrade?
The back of the car says cobra not mustang. Is this stock?

The 99's rear bumper stock should say "MUSTANG". If your's says "COBRA" then it is an aftermarket bumper. The "weird black material" you are talking about is the under hood insulation. I am almost positive that it comes out stock with "COBRA" on the underside. The Cobra grill emblem probably cost around $30. If you wanted to switch it back it would probably cost around the same. I say you would be in the stock category, if it wasn't for our paint, but because of the paint you would probably be in the personalized category. The paint is the very first thing a judge would look at, and they probably would not believe the chameleon paint on your car came stock. Hope this helps!:thumbsup:

yea thanks. The paint is not stock. It was red before they painted it. i guess i will have to show up and see what they say but i hate to be the guy there that has no idea what he is doing. ha ha.
