And Shannon (NO 5 OH) has something to do with it. Not at your powerlevel though, I'll have her on the dyno saturday and see what she does with an open K&N and the exhaust. Got my Borla Stinger and PRO-50 shifter in today. The mods start slowly, but I know where this is going............ Track results tonight...... (there's also another set that looks identical obviously)

Oh... blaming it on me now aren't we ;);)

It's just so tempting to make it faster... and not too hard to do either. At least you'll have a catback on it to make it sound better... I've still got the crappy stock exhaust all the way back. I'll be taking care of that soon though :D:D

I'm actually leaving in just a little bit to go redyno mine with the new MAC cold air w/95mm mass air, 2.75" pulley, Metco idlers, and a SCT tune. Last time with the same set-up but with a WMS Velocity Tube it put down 426/511 at the wheels. You actually shouldn't be too far behind with just those two simple mods. When I get the headers, et all on there it should really wake up the ole' snake ;)

BTW... thanks for the e-mail... that will be a big help to me. I sent you a reply as well... get back to me if you get a chance

smashedheadcat: what did you run at the track? ET streets, drag radials, or stock tires? And atleast you got a coupe this time, so you car run at drag days...

Well, in bone stock form, I went (1/8 mile only) a best of 8.50 @83.9mph with a 2.000 60ft time. I did run a best mph of 87.XX with a 2.4 60ft:D. That was my best, this time around I didn't better my time, but I didn't ever get a really good run. Best of 8.5X @ 87.4 mph with a 2.1 60ft. The temp is was pretty humid, and pretty warm. Plus, I didn't let the car cool off really.

PS, this was on Goodyear f1's with now 7040 miles on them.

Any time on the email. I got my dyno today...... barely got what I was hoping for, but I got it. With the boost bypass, K&N (open filter) and Borla stinger exhaust it put down 400.2 rwhp and 370 rwtq. The torque is lower than I was expecting, but I'll take the 400 ponies and make up the torque later.

Also, the a/f went off the chart rich @ 4000rpms and stayed there the rest of the way. So there's some power to be had there by leaning it out some.

Congrats on the runs and times. Get you some ET Streets and what the times drop. That roots blower torque is addicting isn't it!!! I don't miss my Procharger at all!!! Get a Metco Lower pulley setup and it will pick up the rwtq!!! Of course long tubes help in that area also...

I completely agree with this as well. A lower pulley will give you more boost increasing hp... but they are very beneficial at increasing torque overall. I've been thinking my car is some sort of "factory freak" as it put down a good deal of torque stock and when Don got done tuning it it just made it unfreakin' real ;)

Your times at the track are good... although your mph seems a tad low to me. In bone stock configuration mine ran a best of 8.44 at 92 mph (and happened to beat a certain silver "faster" snake on that run :D) and with a Predator performance tune on it I ran 8.42 at 94 mph. My best 60 foot of the day came in at 2.07 and that was my very first pass. Tire pressure wasn't checked at all.

Say... I just so happen to have a Predator that I'll let you have cheap :):)

Thanks for the props guys. Sorry Shannon, no predator for me. I may do the pulley in the future, but i've got my 97 up and running so it's the priority once again. Believe it or not, it's more fun than the '03.

NO 5 OH:  You might want to frame that time slip... But I'm not making any excuses, you had me by about 3 cars, after I bogged at the line and I ran you down and you beat me by a nose... I guess it was a good thing for you it was an 1/8 mile track... Oh well, you win some and you loose some, and then I usually tear stuff up, which seems to be the norm here lately for me. But, I do seem to remember that same silver "faster" snake, two or three weeks ago, more than redeemed itself several times on Hwy. 321... That was giving you the go and that was with me having limited traction, due to my car blowing the 315 Nittos off in 2nd and 3rd from a roll, and the factory clutch slipping terribly, that couldn't handle the power... But who's keeping score, right? :D

Sorry SMASHEDHEADCAT, didn't mean to highjack your thread, but I had to respond to that...

[Vin Diesel voice] Ask any racer... any real racer. It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or by a mile... winning is winning. [/Vin Diesel voice]

It was a joke... take it as such. No harm no foul intended.

It's all good guys. I don't think it's hijacked.... Gives the threads more character that way. :)
