Ok time to start talking about FFW in Bristol, TN. The dates are August 6-8. I'm planning on going and I will have at least two other members with me from Asheville. SO why don't we make this an unofficial SCMC event and see if we can't dominate the car show?? Please post here if you're planning on attending. :thumbsup:

Well I don't think I'll try to drag race a road race car...somehow I don't hook like the boys with the BIG TIRES in back! :D ;)

Hampton Inn was very nice and not to far from the track. I'd say let's stay there again. I was hoping we could get more than the five or six cars we had last year.

Amber have you talked to Burke? Is he planning on attending with Beverly?

I talked to Burke last night after he picked up his new purchase! :D ;) It's been used but it is a Cobra so he is now in the multiple Cobra Owners Association! :D :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Ok it's time to organize this thing. I'll get a block of rooms at a hotel. I will post the details next week. I would like to know about how many rooms to get, so please post here if you're serious about going. I would also like to know who is going to show their cars and who is going to race their cars.

I'm planning to attend FFW and am planning to show (or at least pay for the good parking spot ;) ). Not sure if I'll bring the Cobra or the Lightning, though, since it doesn't look like Margie will be able to go.

I was waiting for you to set up the block but I'll make my own reservation if necessary. I'll wait a day or two to see what you're going to do. I agree with your earlier post that we should get on this right away before everything fills up.

I haven't been able to get a block of rooms but the Hampton Inn above has the best rates in the area. It is a bit of a drive to the track but so are most of the available hotels. I'll be staying at this hotel.

Last year it was no problem. I will try to get to the show early enough on Saturday to get about 10 spots marked off for us.

I and the fellow Ashevillians will be driving up Saturday Morning and I will go straight to the track (after a quick wash off). I will be bringing a tent and flagman will be bringing a tent and if you bring a tent...EVERYONE will be able to hide from the sun! :D The weather looks like it will be AWSOME! :thumbsup: :bounce:

What time do you expect to be at the track? Do you want me to bring a cooler with drinks & ice? Yes I know ;) Diet Mtn. Dew ;) I will also bring registration forms and event flyers. See you Saturday! :D

I should be there no later than 8:30 - 9:00 AM. I'm bringing my small cooler (the big one won't fit with the tent) it holds 8 soda's. So yes a backup "BIG COOLER" would be great. I'm bringing four folding chairs also just in case someone needs an extra. I'm bringing the few applications I have and a few flyers for the Parkway Show. See YOU Saturday!! :D :bounce: :thumbsup:

Got stuck working Saturday and can't get out of it! :banghead: On top of that...we both got sick last weekend and are trying to recover from that! :barf: Sometimes, when it rains, it pours. However, it's supposed to be sunny :cool: and in the upper 70's this weekend! :bounce: So, assuming we recover from Ebola :drool: , we'll be there Sunday morning. :thumbsup: Steve

Just a heads up! This weekend (6,7,8) is the final weekend blitz of the Tennessee Highway Patrol's "summer heat" program. They are targeting DUI, speeding, changing lanes w/o signal, tailgating, aggressive driving, and seat belts. EVERY THP officer will be working overtime. I believe during the last one they gave like 200,000 citations and will be trying to break that record...don't give them any help! Be careful! :thumbsup:

Got your trophy from FFW, we will have to met up some time soon. Rich won in his category, so did Robert, (2003 GT), Dennis (2003 Mach 1) And myself (1997 Cobra). It was a good day for the Carolinas. :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Nasty little thing called work!! :( I had to drive home then down to Wilmington yesterday. It was still after 11:00 PM when I got down to Wilmington last night!! :eek:

We were prolly up watching the PRO 5.0's, we were watching all of the racing and checking out the pit area and did not get back to the car show area until around 3:30 :thumbsup:
