My girls parents have a new crossfire and T-bird. They said the crossfire has abotu 320 hp. (all stock) they want to see what my car will do. Should i talk smack or just keep my mouth shut cause these cars are for real?

Not sure about the Crossfire....
But I always say keep a low profile until you beat the person talking smack.
There is no dish better served than a plate of crow.

Always let your car do the talking. If you lose you won't look stupid and if you win you can rub it in all you want. Of course if the person you race was civil about the whole thing to begin with, then a simple smile will be enough.

Just try to race at a track...

I'm not sure where they are pulling this 320hp number from. :doubt: The specs on the motor they have is a 3.2-liter 18 valve DOHC V6 engine developing 215 horsepower. The 0-60 times range in the 6.5-7.0 second time, and the 1/4 in about 15 seconds flat. Now the "wild card" as in all races is of course the driver and reaction time. I've driven one and I think they are pretty gutless below 2500-3000 rpm. (and this is coming from a guy who drives a STOCK 97 GT) The 15 second time I gave was with an experienced driver. This motor they have is alot like our Mod motors in that they love rpm. You should have no problem in pulling off from this crossfire. I would remind them before you race that 2 seconds is an eternity in the 1/4 mile. So at the end when you get out of your car they don't say "you only beat me by a second and a half." Hope this helps and like mentioned above I'd just keep quiet and take the theory of "crouching cobra, hidden danger"

I drove a couple of months ago. Are they quick? Yes for what it is. Will it run with your Cobra NO WAY. IMO talk all the smack you want then when you dust it watch  on their faces. No way the car has 320HP, SOTP feel i'd say closer to 250 on the high end. The car is a great highway crusier had it up to 130 and it felt great. Took awhile for it to get there, so Cobra vs Crossfire..................Cobra everytime. Just my humble opinion.

what I would do is, say "well... my car only makes 305hp(hey you could have before the fix), but I will try my best and see if I can make up for it with my driving skills" real humble like.

Then, when you race, givem the move, then toast them, you can rag on them hard core afterwards, saying "man, you can't drive, I beat your 320hp car with my 305 hp car" :D

I worked at a dodge/chrysler dealership (up until about a week ago anyway) and have driven a few crossfires...80% of the car is manufactured in Germany and it's final assembly point is in Germany. It has also been tested to 150 mph on the autobahn...They have the Mercedes 3.2L V6 engine in them mated to either a Mercedes 5 speed auto with autostick or an optional Mercedes 6 speed manual. Chrysler rates it at 215 hp and a 0-60 time of about 6.5 seconds and a quarter mile time of mid to high 14's...and those #'s are probably accurate from my experience with them...They are coming out with an SRT6 version of the Crossfire which will come with a supercharged version of the 3.2L for the 05 model year. I believe that vehicle will have 330 hp and Chrysler claims a 0-60 time in under 5 seconds...I'm not sure if they're out yet but they're supposed to be out early summer this year if I remember...If it's an 04 it's no contest plain and simple...if the 05's have come out check to make sure it's not an SRT6 first...Happy hunting!
