The Sept 18-19 Gingerman registration forms are now online. If you visit other forums, please spread the word.

Gingerman is a safe track located in South Haven Michigan. This is always one of the better events of the year, great fun will be had by all. It is open to non-SVT's, but obviously we want as many Cobra's as possible.

Instructors with classroom sessions will be available. Scott Whitehead is going to be our lead instructor again, with many returning instructors.

registration form can be downloaded here: http://www.svtcobraclub.com/indexfiles/SCMC%20Gingerman%20Entry%20Form2004.pdf

Yeah!!!! :thumbsup:

This will be my 3rd year in attendance with SCMC :thumbsup:

Gingerman is a fantastic track, and Scott does an excellent job instructing....anyone who has wanted to try an open track event, or wants to go fast legally and safely should definately attend....as Brian said, its a very safe track, yet it has some challenging turns, so it offers something for everyone....plus, its in a great area, South Haven on Lake Michigan is a beautiful place....

sign up form printed and ready to go :D

PS: Brian, no yeller non-ford's permitted :p

Our registrations are in the mail so the East TN Ridge Runners & Shine Haulers Association will be represented again this year. We had a blast at Gingerman last year and we are really looking forward to this year. :bounce:

We have made a few little changes since last year. My '97 Cobra vert. has new H&R springs and Tokicos to go with the MM TA/PHB setup along with MM CC plates. :D And yes I do have a 4-point rollbar with 5-point harnesses now since Dave told me last year I could not come back without a bar. I don't know what the big deal was just because Jayne went 4 wheels off a couple of times. :rolleyes: Oh and mentioning Jayne she has crossed over to the dark side and will be bringing her new Corvette Z06.
:jawdrop:

Looking forward to seeing everyone again. One of the best things about Gingerman last year was the people we got to meet!

Is anyone planning to camp at the track this year??

The '97 Viper was with me last year at Gingerman. He ran four

He has since switched to a higher temp brake fluid. I still tease
him about my factory cobra brakes that had no problems all day. :D

Convertibles without rollbars are allowed but they are limited to no passing in their group. If there aren't a lot of cars in their group then passing shouldn't be an issue. :)

Right Brian, allot of fast cars are showing up for events these days.

At the SVTOA Gingerman event last month I felt like the sixth grader who after his first physical education class entered the shower only to find his Johnson was half the size of everyone else's. :( Some of you are real freaks. :eek: I guess the bright side of it is that if your budget allows you can buy extensions and turn yourself into a bigger freak..... :D

I believe the most popular extension right now is the Ford GT version 2.0.0.4. You don't even have to know how to use it well. Just show up with it nice and clean.

I understand at a recent event even guys were wanting to pay $40 for a chance to ride on it.

You can't get more functional than that. :eek: :D :rotf:

In no particular order are some great memories I have of this year's Gingerman event:

Ed Erdy's beautiful 66 Mustang GT K code :thumbsup: ;
Two 70 Boss 302's ripping around the track together :cool: ;
Jayne McNutt taking way too much delight in showing us her rear :eek: (that's of her Z06 Corvette);
Getting lapped by Brian Groth in less than twenty laps :o (Z06 again);
Staying ahead of Mike Scornavacchi only by pressuring the car ahead to spin out, then scooting by just ahead of the corner worker's yellow flag :rotf: (another Z06);
Finally getting by a GM product :bounce: (a new GTO);
The look on my neighbor's face when he got some hot laps with me as a passenger :D , then the look on his wife's face when he announced that he had to get a track car :doubt: ;
A great time was had by all.

What an awesome weekend! Great weather, fantastic people and the sound of all that power going around the track was fantastic! This was my first track event and what an experience! So many memories I can't begin to list them all. A great big Thank You to my instructor Mark Wilson, what a great guy. He got me through my jitters and nerves, I was really trying, I think I got the hang of it, now I need the practice. I couldn't believe how fun it was and what I could do with my car. Thanks Mark! You got me hooked! :) If I could only unclench my fingers! I know I had one bad death grip on the wheel. I'm amazed at what my car can do, and it was really cool when Mark drove it with me as passenger. All I can say is Wow!

And thanks to Peter for the "holy @$#@" ride with him in his vert, going that fast without a roof! And thanks to Brian for letting me co-pilot with him, and nope, I didn't fall asleep! :) My hat is off to all the instructors, those guys can really drive! :hail:

Even the 8 hour drive wasn't bad, with two vettes, two cobras and a Mustang going down the highway, people sorta get out of your way. :D

Thanks for the memorable weekend, I will definitely be back.

Pam,

Always happy to be responsible for starting someone down the path to being a track dawg! ;)

You did great and I can't wait to see you out on the track again next year!

You guys better watch out for Pam in the future!!! :thumbsup:
