Hello there.

Let's talk about clutches...has anyone experienced any problems with their clutch...mushy feeling, studders a little after its warm, stuff like that.

I just traded in an 03' G35 coupe for my new 03' Vert and love the car...obviously the fit and finish won't compare to that of this Infiniti, but I didn't buy the Snake for fit and finish!

I'm hoping that I'm still just trying to get used to it...(I know it's about the heaviest darn clutch my leg has ever been into!).

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Never had trouble with the clutch. It is just VERY stiff as you mentioned.

:) Yea, I know what you mean re Clutch is heavy, especially compared with my prior vette Z06 clutch in my Formula firebird. But there are no hydrolics in the cobra clutch, but it should loosen up a little with time, and I have gotten used to it quite nicely, and I don't have the greatest back, but I rarely get a back ache from this clutch. In fact I used to get a lot more back problems with the Formula, likely because the seats were not nearly as ergonomic as the cobra. I'm not sure what the clanking is about, unless perhaps you are still on a bit of a learning curve with this clutch. If any doubt, take it in, as it hopefully would be a warranty item if defective.
Good Luck,
Ben

You went from a Z06 to a cobra. What made you do that? Do you like the Cobra better?

:) I went from a formula firebird with an after market Z06 clutch to a Cobra.
And other than the launch being more difficult with the cobra, the shifter too far forward (corrected with MGW shifter) and a heavier clutch, all other aspects of the cobra blows away the firebird.
Also, did your tire mods help decrease the rear bouncing on the launch?
Also, do you think anti roll bars are important for the cobra conver?
