Looking to get a CAI kit, was just wondering if there was a place to get it that you guys would recommend. I am more interested in giving the business to someone that supports the forums than saving $20.

I use the BBK kit and I'm very satisfied. Good performance and looks good under the hood. Only downside is that you have to remove the front right wheel to clean the filter. I ordered it from summit racing.
In the June 04 issue of Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords they do a Test on K & N Aircharger System on a stock 03 Cobra and Get a Gain of 30 rwhp & 10 rwtq. That aint too Bad!! I've got a 12" S&B Filter on mine but never checked the dyno with just that mod., I doubt you can beat the K & N .

hmmmmmm..... I was looking at the steeda one. Seemed that everyone in here was saying to get that.
I checked Steeda in the same Magazine Pg. 90 and they advertise 10-15 hp. The K & N System Guarantees 25 rwhp.

I got 12 more hp at the wheels on the dynojet with the K&N FIPK than with my drop-in K&N filter....this probably would translate to about the 25-30hp they talk about since my first dyno pulls were with silencer removed and K&N plop in filter. I was at 408hp with those...see sig for current stats

So what do you guys recommend ?
Steeda or K&N ? Kinda worried after reading some of the posts about the K&N filter and the pin hole stuff. I had a K&N on my 89 for years..... but I plan on keeping this car for a long time so I dont want to do any un-needed damage just to get a minimal boost in performance.

My recomendation for a CAI would actually fall under the "none of the above" ;)
I have the MAC "Straight Shot" cold air kit for the 03/04 Cobra. It's somewhat similar to the Steeda cold air, but it comes with a polished stainless heat shield, a 95mm mass air tube (uses stock electronics), and a really big velocity stack filter. I had a WMS 4" Velocity Tube before the MAC kit, and just by switching from the WMS tube to the MAC kit, I picked up 24 rwhp. Over the stock air box (and this is just a guess) I'd say the MAC cold air is worth a conservative 35 hp to the wheels. It's a bit more money than the Steeda kit... but I feel as if it's worth it :)
My .02... your mileage will vary :D
