Has anyone cut their springs to lower your car? If so how much did you cut and how much did it drop?

I know its cheaper then getting springs, but I personally would NEVER recommend it. The spring has been designed to work with all the coils. If you cut them, you are altering the way the spring in engineered, thus causing to not work properly, potentially hurting ride quality and handling. A good, stiffer, lowering spring generally handles and rides ALOT better than a cut stock spring.

I would recommend a set of H&R's. They are very nice springs and fairly cheap.

If you have your mind set on cutting the springs, disregaurd this post. :)

you can actually heat them up and shrink them. i dont know about the stock ones but it can be done.

The risk of cutting springs is trying to get all four to an equal length. If the lengths are not equal, the corner weights will be wrong, and the handling will be worse, not better.

I have to agree with Firme, and suggest buying a set of lower springs - Hyperco also make good springs. I would not recommend Eibach as they have had quality-control issues recently.
