Mystichrome Build Number....

I got my Mystichrome build number today. It's number 1431 out of 3768 and Mystichrome number 991 out of 1010. I thought there was only supposed to be 1000 Mystichromes??? :scratch:

I think SVT has problems counting. The SVT certificate I have for my 96 Mystic says my car is #761 out of 2000. But they only built 1999 of them???:scratch:

John, Where did you get that info? The build numbers from SVT state there were 1990 made with leather interior, and 9 made with cloth.

If you are correct and Ford kept one but kept it off the build number release that would be very interesting, and would answer allot of questions that 96 Mystic owners have. I (and others) have called SVT and no-one we have talked to could account for the discrepancy in the build number release and the SVT Mystic certificate released stating 2000.

I know of two 1995 GT's that were painted Mystic to gauge interest, and one Saleen that was also painted Mystic, but I've never heard of Cobra coupe #2000 that Ford kept.

Any additional info would be greatly appreciated.
