Got my Bassani's today. They came with 4 inch tips and those things are huge!!! Do they look ok on the car or are they just too damn big? Anybody using these? Any input would be appreciated.

The 4in watermelon shooters fill the rear valence perfectly. I just removed my stinger catback. Talk about a difference..... the tail end looks so naked now....

Ok guys, got it done this morning. Finally my car sounds like a cobra!!! I am very pleased with the Bassanis and like Smashedheadcat said, the 4 in. tips look pretty damn good. It is almost like they were meant to be on the car. The difference in sound is like night and day. I have always been a Flowmaster fan but I think now I will stick to Bassani. BTW I am still running my factory mid-pipe and the exhaust still sounds nasty.

Are these 4" tips what has been referred to as fart cannons? Did they really come from a ricer catalog?
I admit, they do sound nice.

You sound just like Greg!!!!!:D :D He has been giving me a hard time about that too. Yeah, they do look like fart cannons. Now all I need is a 4 cylinder engine to hook them up to:eek: .

-D-i would recomend you change your midpipe.. if you dont want it any louder they have some quiet one, or you can make it a bit louder
but this is like stepping on a water hose.. you gotta let it flow out smoother.. it will def help in your 1/4

You know, if 4 inch tips net you 20 horsepower, then shouldn't 6 inch tips make you 30 horsepower?

I got the 4" tips when tha bassini exhaust was first installed and found them too loud. I drive my car a lot (25,000 miles on it now) and I had to cruise at 90 to get to a comfortable noise level. (I'm an old fart too). I had the 3" tips installed and found them much more to my liking. I didn't have to scream to have a conversation plus I am absolutely sure the quieter tips saved me from 2 tickets.

I also put the baffles in initially, they rattled out on their own after a few weeks (didn't have any loctite around when I put them in at the dyno place)

hmm, fart cannons? :D I guess you will be saying to those behind you "I fart in your general direction". I have the average 3.5 inch double walled polished stainless tips that came with the SLP. Now only the smaller veriety fruit will fit, and most animals do not fit. :doubt: did I just say that? I too would like to see the 4 inch fart cannons installed. That sounds cool as long as it does not smell like rotten eggs. IF you want that import look, make sure one hangs lower than the other and at least allow some carbon buildup on one side for that authentic look. Oh yeah, along with your 4 cyl motor, you will need a muffler the size of a buick, those things are so loud you need to quiet them down a bit.
What about some pictures??? I would like to see how they look.

I saw Trevors (TL04SVT) Saturday night, never heard the Bassani cat-back before. I was pretty impressed, and the tips! The 4" tips look real good!
