Finally got one!

I have been looking for a Cobra for over a year and finally decided to take the plunge. Last Sat, I bought a 2001 Cobra convertible w/ 42,000 miles on it. It is a True Blue color and is in great shape. The drive home (just over 400 miles) was a blast and I got 26.5 mpg. The last 150 miles was with the top down at about 80! :)

This is my 3rd Mustang in the garage. I also have a 1966 candy apple red convertible and a 1994 lazer red GT convertible. I will post pics pretty soon. I am a member of the Lake Erie Mustang Owners Club in Erie, PA and enjoy driving to shows and cruise-ins.

Hope to have fun here and learn more about my Cobra. It is about time in northeast Ohio to put our Mustangs away until spring but hope to get a few more nice days to enjoy my new Cobra

I think I got a pretty good deal - paid under trade-in value according to Kelly's. Love the power compared to my 94 but not sure if I like the feel of the seats - my 94 seems to fit a little better. Also after buying it and driving home 400 miles, I got 26.5 MPG - never got above 24 with my GT.
Being in NE Ohio, it is time to put it away for the winter after driving it only about 800 total miles but now I have another reason that I can't wait for next summer!! I f you can find a good deal on one, GO FOR IT!!:thumbsup:

Zedoc, I thought about an '05 but didn't want to wait for a convertible and then didn't want to spend 32-34,000 for one. I got this Cobra for half the price of an 05 GT convert. so I am pretty happy. If I want the power of the Cobra :D (who wouldn't!!!) then maybe save up for one in 2006-7. And yes, it needs to be a convertible!

I am putting insurance on my Cobra Thursday. Have ten days off to drive! Hope it gets warm enough for the top to come down. Tired of the winter weather!
