I'm sorry Bonny... forgive me, k?
My modification is what yours was in the same sense... butt you just have to figure out what you get when you do what you did and have a turbocharger to boot

well, you said you didn't buy another vehicle ....
so, I'm a little confused ..
My modification was a '97 Cobra .. (buying it)..
however, didn't you say that you didn't buy another vehicle?? So, ya have succeeded at making me highly confused here ....

hey - I'm proud to admit - I'm not a genius !!

So lets see that sounds like you're getting an 80's SVO!! Is that it??? Butt I thought you said it wasn't a purchase of a different vehicle?? So my guess would be that you're getting your old SVO back???

Well, it looks like BD guessed what my modification is:bounce: :bounce: Hat's off to ya both... although for some reason you're the only two that played
I never said I didn't buy another car... I just stated that I didn't order an 03 Cobra nor did I buy a Hummer. I did buy a new car, butt it's not in a sense "new" as you might think it ;) ;)
So without further delay, here he is... pictured with his brother Silas and their Chebby sidekick, D'artanian :p :p

It is an 80's SVO for sure... more specifically an 86, the last year they were made. I didn't get my old car back, butt this car in essence is exactly like my old one... except it's got leather and a sunroof with less miles. I drove to Virginia on Saturday to pick up this all original car with just under 33,000 original miles on it. There's a couple things not right with the car (mainly cosmetic stuff) butt it runs great and it's a hoot to drive :bounce: :bounce:
I got all kinds of things with the car as well, a milk crate full of stuff to be honest. Among those things of interest are the original window sticker, the bill of sale, and the build sheet in perfect condition. I also got all the manuals that came with the car (brochures for the Koni shocks and Goodyear tires), two owner's manuals and a bunch of other stuff too
Here's another pic from the front. He's got something to say more or less... he hopes you hear it loud and clear :rotf: :rotf:
BTW... my hoodscoop's functional too ;) ;)

In the pictures of it he's in really good shape... butt if you get up close you can really see the rough spots in the paint. The first owner that had it had it parked outside his garage one windy day and at the time he was having his house reshingled. The wind blew some shingles down across the car and scratched it up. He had the paint "touched up" persay... butt whoever did it did a crappy job.
The owner I bought it from liked to keep the car clean, which it was most definitely when I looked at it... butt he put something on the leather (most likely Armor-all) and make the seats slicker than owl crap and made them dry out. The driver's seat has the leather cracking on the side bolster... butt other than that the interior is in great shape.
The SVO will be my track car... since that was what it was made to doo. The Koni's need a little adjustment work done on them, butt believe you me... he sticks to the road like glue

We do not need any more than that ..
It took me awhile to get used to all this power,
before, there were times I had that gas pedal to the floor to try and get everything she had.
I definitely can't do that anymore ...

I thought since this thread had died an undeserving death... I'd bring it back to life since I have "modifications" now to write down :D These have been worthwhile mods that I haven't spent a lot of money on all together... and they're all for the Mustang with "the little engine that could" ;)
Turbo Coupe Intercooler
Turbo XS manual boost controller (what??!! The gauge stops at 18!!!!)
Custom log-style header by Bob Lee
Tiny Avenger Cold Air
Tiny Avenger Compressor Bypass
Coming soon: 3" exhaust to 2 1/2" Magnaflow catback... and some other stuff ;) ;)
Boost... the replacement for displacement!

Thanks Bonny... I knew you wouldn't let it die ;)
That was wrote some time ago... and actually right now there's a ton of stuff going on it. With the above modifications on the dyno it laid down 230.1 rwhp/306.8 ft lbs torque at 21 psi. To go on the car now I have the following:
T3/TO4E 60 trim turbo w/stage 3 turbine, .63 A/R from Precision Turbo and Engine
Modified Grand National Intercooler w/ Duttweiler neck
Flex-a-lite Trimline dual 12" fans
MSD 6A with Blaster coil
Simple Digital Systems (SDS) stand alone engine management
Seimens/Deca 83 lph injectors
Turbo XS BOV Type-H RFL
ATR 3" downpipe off turbo, ATR 3" to 2 1/2" y-pipe
Magnaflow Catback for 86-93 5.0 Mustang
There's some other stuff that I'm probably forgetting, but you get the general idea. I'm hoping when I get it done to be putting down 300 to 325 at the wheels on the stock iron head. Should hopefully run mid 12's when I'm done and still be a "fource" to be reckoned with on a road course.
Glad to see you back on again... I'm sure I speak for everybody that we've missed ya :bounce: :bounce:

I've missed you too Shannon...
Quick question for you -
how much does your "older" faster Mustang weigh?
just curious ... glad to hear that you've turned it into quite a machine!! It's fun isn't it?

The "older faster" Mustang weighs in slightly over 3200 lbs with me in it... quite a bit less than the Cobra, which weighs in at about 3800 or so with me on board. I use the term "older and faster" in my post kinda as a smirk... but the Cobra was probably a tad bit faster before I parked the SVO. I know I ran neck and neck with a 96-97 Cobra coupe from a roll, you should have seen the look of surprise on the guys face ;)
The SVO is currently at a friend's house, awaiting a rearend transplant... which I'm getting ready to leave to go get here shortly. I'm taking out the 7.5 and putting in an 8.8 out of an 87 Thunderbird Turbocoupe... all complete with a 3.73 gear ;) While it's down I'm gonna put everything else on it and hopefully when I get it running right it'll be just a bit faster that ole' Silas :D :D
Yeah this is fun... but it's getting expensive!

anyone want to buy a barely used
Vortech SC Supercharger --- polished?
don't worry the car is fine -- it just isn't being driven and may become my everyday driver, so I'm not sure if I want to keep the sc in there......
ofcourse, I would need help getting it out of there.....
