James,
As a club member you can send your photos to Edmond and he can host them on the SCMC server. We have 100 gigs of space so I think we can host them. Also check out your welcome message and club directory for more information.
I've spoken to Firme about people posting too large a pics on the BB and the time it takes for them to download from other servers for us dial up folks. We will either turn the feature off (in other words visitors can post a link but not be able to import an image for a direct picture) or they will be required to shrink their pictures in order to put them up on our BB. Of course club members can always post their pics in the "Snakepit". The thumbnail feature will always be available.

Thanks for the info! I have several 4-10M videos from our track day 06NOV04. Would we be able to host them as well? I'll post a few side shots over in the SnakePit for now & send some to Edmond this week.
Personally, I'd prefer the link versus the reduction.

Love those mystichrome's!
I only bought the BBS since at the time were the only single cast wheels that had a dished rear. I was contemplating the simmons 3 piece but one wheel would have cost the price of two BBS wheels. Now there seems to be alot more available with the same rear offset. They looked nice on the 01, but better on the 04 since it sits a little lower. I have to admit, I like the Cobra R wheels too as well as everybody else. Why not be different?

01-02-2005, 12:43 PM
They would be nicer if they were chrome instead of the high metallic paint (aka aluminized ceramic coating). It is supposed to be warrentied from cracks, peeling or whatever. When you decide to upgrade the wheels, check out what is available now. I have seen a few "I whish I would have............" wheels out there. Don't get me wrong, I do like the BBS wheels. I have seen some killer others that look really good if not better. It is about time wheel makers start addressing the non-import market.

01-03-2005, 11:18 AM
I've stopeed at a few places and the market seems to be going towards the Satin finish as opposed to chrome. Specifically because of the durability and the lower maintenance. I agree with you, however, on the necessity of these wheel makers needing to address the american muscle market. I may even consider going with black. Tired of the brake dust.

When I originally went to prurchase my cobra (last may). I had the paperwork completely finished on a 04 mystichrome vert. I happened to glance out the window and saw a darkfire vert and asked about it. the sales guy said it was an 03, and that was it. I loved the mystichrome, but thought it might be more practical to own a car that I can match the paint incase of a scratch (this is my daily driver). SO in the end, I saved 10k and took the 03 with 1900 miles on it. As much as I love my car, everytime I see a mystichrome I can't help but to feel it. Dave~that car is hot!
I am definitely purchasing a 06/07 svt ( I'll still keep the 03). If they offer mystichrome, it'll be in my driveway.

He trimed the hood blanket and cut off the flaps on the vents...I had the same mod on mine...it's for heat escape not sound.

Here's one of my previous car. It is an 03, but I burnt the motor and traded for an 04. Same color and everything. Same wing and front fascia and splitter. The only difference is that the new one (in my sig pic), is an 04 with chrome wheels. But you get the idea.

I believe this is a common issue with just about any vehicle. It is more prevalent with the IRS than the SLA but it can happen with both axle arrangements. I have found it more an issue depending on road surface conditions and type of tire used. At different locations I can get a smooth tire spin without hop and some areas just teeth chattering responce. I have noticed when the road is wet it hops more so than dry. There are some mods that can be done to reduce the bounce but as to eliminate it totally I doubt it. Bushings, spring rates, and dampers may be changed to reduce the occurance of wheel hop. Other issues such as rear alighnment also play a role in how the tires hook up. I would have the alignment checked out if you have excessive wheel hop. For some reason or another, my 04 does not hop as much as my retired 01 did. I have experienced it from time to time but not as often as I did with the other car.

I was only now granted membership so give me a few days as I need to get a better digital camera that will take much finer photos and I will post some great close ups,
The hood and the wing are from Ford racing, i spent more for them as I heard some of the aftermarket wings were on the cheezy side, if you get a hood make dang sure that if it comes primed that who ever paints it starts from scratch and re-primes it, mine had to be re-painted because they used the manufactuers prime job and every time a tiny rock or road crap like all cars get hit with every day it made a 64th inch diamiter hole, was a dissaster.
Make them start as there was no primer at all.
