I am considering a Magnaflow Catback for my 04. It already has a CAI installed and now I'm ready for some exhaust improvement.
Does this exhaust sound quite while cruising (2000 RPM range) ?? I do not like that interior low frequency booming if I'm not getting on it.
I'm looking for an exhaust thats quite until you stand on it .... then let her ROAR !!
Maufacturer says I should see a 22 RWHP gain on the exhaust !!
Maybe another 10+ RWHP from the CAI.
That would amount to a cool 390+ RWHP total
How was your install ?? easy, hard, or pain in the ass type ?

I put the Magnaflow cat-back on my '99 Cobra with IRS, it was a very easy driveway/jackstand installation. It's a well designed and engineered high quality kit. Took a couple of hours with simple hand tools, but we were really taking our time and tweaking everything.
Sounds great! No drone, no popping on deceleration, much quieter at idle and startup, yet sounds great when you get on it. I can highly recommend it.
Others seem to prefer the sound of Bassani, but it seems like one of those quasi-religous Tri-ax versus Pro-5.0 type of deals: both are good, both are a great improvement, and you'd be happy with either.

-RPI agree but on the 03 you get a burbble when you down shift I like the way it sounds it isnt to loud cruising but loud enough that you know its there. Installation is a breeze if you can get under the car it is tight. If you decide to buy go to http://www.completeexhaust.com/product_info.php?products_id=273 right on the site it tells you to ask for the special price tell them you heard about them on this forum shipped to my house 350.00 best price I could find:thumbsup:

I agree with the above. I also have the highflow cat X pipe on my 03 vert. Seems to make as much or a bit more HP than any other setup. It's pretty quiet when cruising, even tolerable for my wife with the top down. Mine does pop when to want it to on decel., and roar when getting into it. Pipes are starting to yellow up but I guess that is to be expected.
I love my Magnaflos sounds Great, I also get pop on decel but I kinda like it! Not too loud when cruising but a nice rumble when getting on it!!

A Magnaflow catback will add around 20 rwhp!
Just to add a little to the topic. The company on our vendor list im sure is a great dealer but ive bought from this vendor for 18 years and any problem that ever came up, they took care of with no questions asked. My family ran a auto parts store with a muffler shop and before we bought from them we had nothing but problems.

No problem...I am not saying to stop buying from who you do now if you choose..merely to say we have vendors who provide discounts to the members..and they are checked out before they are put on as a vendor. Also if you have an issue with them that can not be resolved..as the Marketing Director I am here to assist. Just trying to get the best deals for members....that's all.

Got magnaflows put on a few days ago. With the CAI the car seems like it has
a lot more muscle. Did not know how much until a 04' Dodge Magnum RT
tried to pass me and got stung hard by the cobra. Cobra pulls hard now.
Good investment. Between 1700 - 2000 rpm its a little boomy buts I guess
thats the price for performce mufflers. Next stop .... serpentine belt mod
and and supercharger porting. Would be cool to part of the 500HP some day.
Got it installed last night. Love the new sound. The magnaflows give the sound i was looking for. Just a little more over stock but not to much.

I added a K & N CAI and Magnaflows last year to my Mystic, had it dynoed the next day and put out 400 hp exactly. I am hitting the dyno again next week after a year, can't wait to see if the numbers go up ! :bounce:
