Yeah, I thought I broke my sh!t, but I didn't. It actually did turn out to be the shifter bump stops. Stan and I pulled the cover off and I found it right away. Strange thing is that is happened right in the middle of running it hard. Oh well, at least it was something stupid.

On the way home I heard an odd noise coming from the rear of my car. I was almost home when the noise got worse so i pulled in into our shop behind the house. When i crawled under the car i soon realized my rear sway bar had broke at an end. I was glad it was nothing major.

Other than that today was good. I had a great time meeting new people at Slater's.

My near stock 96 cobra:
Run 1: 272.9 hp, 282.5 torque
Run 2: 276.5 hp, 282.0 torque

Mine broke a few years ago on the pass side right as the sway bar goes into the lower control arm. Ford replaced it under the extended warranty I had.

Nice numbers man...what mods do you have??

My '97 w/Borla mufflers and O/R Bassani X...even paper filter were:
Run 1: 277.2 hp, 281.0 tq
Run 2: 277.9 hp, 279.7 tq

I'm pretty happy with my results.

Mine broke a few years ago on the pass side right as the sway bar goes into the lower control arm. Ford replaced it under the extended warranty I had. -Thats exactly the same spot mine broke. Is it due to the age of the parts mixed with hard cornering? How much was a new one?

Nice numbers man...what mods do you have?? -Magnaflow (magnapack) catback and the air silencer removed. Ohh and the wal-mart air freshners (I forget the exact scent :D)

my car got 282rwhp and 295.5rwtq... factory turd :D
that with a dirty used K&N, the magnaflow cat'd X, and FR-500 catback.

seems my mods barely raise hp but have good gains on tq

Maybe ...
But your torque numbers are excellent!!!

And torque is what moves things from point A to point B...

Horse power is the same parameters with a time element factored in...

quickness is decieving...

TORQUE IS ....... ALL ABOUT....

GET'NER DONE!!!

That's why your car was such a BEAR on corner exits at TWS!!!.... nobody (stock) is going to be able to get by you...
Not only are you fast though the corners!!!
As soon as you apex...

YOU ARE FREAKIN GONE DUDE!!!!

You did not buy your car new... correct???

So the first fifty miles were not your's to drive ... correct???

So maximum cylinder pressure within the first fifty miles was not your decision... correct???

I bought mine new with 38 miles on her...

I have a (limited) engine building back ground...

When I drove mine home from the dealer... I was in the boost as much as I could get away with ....... and not get put in JAIL!!!

As soon as I got her home I put ORGANIC OIL in her ASAP (oil change @ 50miles) so that I could seat the rings RIGHT NOW!!!

In other words...
I had a devious plan ... from the get go!!!

Also, even though I had (what is considered to be far few miles)only 2500 on the clock... I switched to Royal Purple 10w30 Full Synth prior to TWS(viewed as both insurance and a break in compromise to me)

Plus prior to pulling onto the dyno...
I had run about a 1/2 mile of heat into the driveline(trans oil / diff oil) about 6 minutes before  (didn't just fall off the cabbage truck)<---LOL

So Phil Please don't feel bad because I used an UNFAIR ADVANTAGE...

Next Open track event I'll be lucky to keep you in sight dude!!!

Love Ya man!!!

ROCK ON!!! :flash:

It was great getting to finally meet several of you guys. Wish I could've stayed longer. I'm always busy at home and rarely get a chance to unwind and socialize with good folks. Hopefully, soon I'll be able to make one of the meets. I was pretty happy with my numbers, 271.7 hp and 279.8 tq, especially since it was my first dyno since my rebuild last year. Was running a little rich too so I would suspect some even better numbers with minor adjustments.

Sorry I didn't make it out with the AI car !. We had a minor family crisis at the house Saturday morning (one of the family pets gone missing overnight) and I got stuck dealing with that till mid-morning. I thought about still heading out to Slater's but it is about a 45 minute drive and I figured all the fun was over by then.

Sounds like you put down some pretty good numbers! I'd have dissappointed you, the AI car only puts out about 300RWHP. I got nothing on you Cobra fans!

The SVTF came in at a whopping

Run 1: 149.8 and 131.7
Run 2: 151.8 and 130.9
Run 3: 150.4 and 131.5

Atleast I got to drive it home:thumbsup:

The "stock" Cobra came in at

Run 1: 423.5 and 426.2
Run 2: 420.7 and 424.6

Overall we were really pleased with the results. I am happy with the Focus, I really just wanted to find a starting point, I am planning on dropping some kind of forced induction under the hood once my income gets leveled out, should be even more fun after that. It was great seeing everyone...hope to see you guys Tuesday.

Had fun morning everyone. Car made 456 RWHP 460 Torque Belt could be slipping some. Need more air faster with all the engine mods. Will explore tensioner issue. Good to see everyone, now can we please get back to the track?
