Yeah I know I'm lucky... it could have been much worst... but I'm still out $1000 (Deductable). This happened as I'm leaving (IAH) the airpport. I didn't even make it out of the airport streets. A deer comes hoping from my left side & I clip it on the corner of my car going about 65 MPH. The deer flew in the air about 9 feet. Lands in the far right lane & cars just proceed to run the **** out of it. I did a U-Turn & came back & all I saw were entrails, internal organs & a bloody streak.

Damaged:
Hood
Front Bumper
Left Headlight
Left Foglight
Left Fender

Yeah this sucks, but I'm still grateful for everything that I have & that God has spared me & my family from tragedies like the one across the other side of the world. Be safe out there & watch out for dumbass deers.

Nick, :( I am real sorry to see that happend man, but like you said, it could have been much worse. Glad you are ok, hitting a deer is a pretty big deal, it could have done alot more damage. Poor Cobra.

Knowing you though, you will build it bigger and better.

Ouch. Won't make you feel any better but that is probably the LEAST amount of damage I've seen from a car-deer collision.

Sorry about your car :( , but glad nothing happened to you  .
My wife and I, being the good samaritons that we are, are doing our best to keep the deer population under controll by keeping our freezer full of venison :D :blast:

Man!!!
I am sooo glad that BIOTCH did not come through the windshield(the usual route)....
Because that would have really left a mark!!!
150 or so pounds of semi squishy body and bones... center mass about 3ft high... moving perpendicular to vehicle... impacted by sloped nose swoopy vehicle going 60 or 65 mph...
Plus they instinctively jump when alarmed...

Glad you are ok!!
That could have been IT!!!

Glad it wasn't!!!

That really sucks Nick. If you need help bolting on a new fender, I just did the one on my '93 this weekend. It's pretty easy.

Hey thanks for all of the well wishes. I know God is always watching out for me. Last night in my prayers, I thanked him for always blessing me & also told him that I really suck at reading signs so if that was a sign for something, it didn't work. :clown:

I went & got an estimate today for $2500. I have two more estimates tomorrow. Ihope one of these shops can do something with my $1000 deductable cause I sure as hell don't have $1000 to spare at the end of the year when my accountant wants my money, my HOA wants my money & my Uncle wants my money. I need a side job or something! :(
