H Pipe makes exhaust louder or quieter

A friend of mine told me an H pipe in front of
CAT back will make exhaust quieter ??

I have a Maganaflow CAT back installed now.

Any opinions here ?

I'm not sure what you are asking but if you are going with a catless H-pipe then it will be louder not quieter. Your Cobra comes with a factory H-pipe with cats so it is what it is. If you are talking about an Off Road pipe then it will be significantly beautiful... I mean louder. :thumbsup:
