Rattle

I have a rattle coming from the driver side of my 97 cobra. It sounds like it is coming from the fire wall. I have replaced the struts and shocks and have looked for loose bolts. Has any one experienced this . It sounds as if it is a loose shock but that is not the case.

Is your car stock or do you have an aftermarket exhaust on it?

Car is stock, have checked exhaust and can not find any loose hangers or supports. It sounds as if a bar is hitting the fire wall or someplace up front,
Since it does not happen all the time, I am having trouble trying to isolate the sound. The Car does have 190,000 miles on it so it could be something has broken loose at one of the welds from the factory. The car has never been abused or wrecked.

It sort of sounds like metal rod hitting the frame.
