Hello,

I'm the guy who shot those videos, and the owner of the company that you are linking to. I was doing some site traffic research and saw this thread/download activity and came in to see what's up.

Another good mustang site, always nice to see.

Anyway, hope you enjoy the videos. That cobra was the prototype car for my convertible gauge pods, and it is a fearsome ride. It's gone faster than 10.51 @136 since the video was shot (late summer), and will be pushing the 9s this season. Oh yes, there will be video.

Take care,

Alan Lindgren, Owner

Thanks for the welcome.

A better video camera and some new improved video editing skills should make this year's clips pretty good!

Yeah, I actually emailed you a couple days ago about the A-pillar's with the raptor shift light mount. I'll be purchasing one from you in the future!

sweet ride...any idea what kind of numbers needed to reach that 136mph trap speed? Im not planning on tracking mine too much, but looking for around 700rwhp...just curious what that might equate to if I dont track it...

InfamousSVT, cool. I'll be looking forward to getting you set up.

blk04, the car usually puts down around 740-750 on the spray. Follow his path of a Kenne Bell and a 125 shot, and you're there! :bounce:

Sadly, it's not my car, but a friends. My fox body is in the gallery on my site.

Jack here's the SpeedofSound website, but the shift light I'm talking about is the raptor shift light. SpeedofSound is in the final development of an A-pillar mount for the shift light! SpeedofSound has a sweet looking A-pillar that matches the cars interior perfectly and looks factory stock!! I'm going to get one soon, No 5 Oh (Shannon) already has the dual gauge A-pillar from speedofsound in his 03 vert!:)

You guys are right. That Cobra is a nasty one. It would have done quite well (2nd place) in the Cobra shootout in the magazine this month. Oh well, there's lots of fast cars out there for sure.

Everyone loves the purge. The reaction at the track is great; the crowd goes wild! We must have used half a bottle "testing" it the day it was put on. :D

I didn't know he was on this site too. Shannon S., right? I actually remember shipping that pillar. So you've seen it in person then?

Sorry for the double post, btw

Alan,

Yeah I actually saw Shannon's back at the beginning of January at one of our meets. I took a look at his gauge pods and really thought they were nice. I also like the fact that they don't look like the same ole' a-pillar pods and are a perfect match for the interior!

Thanks Jason. You're definitely in the minority since you've seen them in person. But that is changing quickly as they get out there. There are pillars in almost every state now, and the springtime will get a bunch of them out on the road.

I have always felt strongly the pods show so much better in person than on the web. You can see the quality in them easier that way. Glad you like them. We're really proud of the interior match, and while the style isn't doesn't appeal to 100% of mustang owners, many people like to be a little different and you can't find a better fit/finish.

Alan,

Are you guys selling these solo or are you marketing them through performance shops and vendors?

Hey how about you talk with Mike our Marketing Director for the SCMC and think about being one of our vendors? Just a suggestion, that's not really my call. It's always nice to have a vendor that is just as much a Mustang fanatic as the rest of us!:D

Good luck with the gauges!:)

We are started to accept some offers from distributors/retailers in the next few months. So, still solo for a short while longer.

Can you give me a forum username or contact info for Mike? I'll get in touch and work out the details. I prefer to be a vendor on the forums I participate whenever my product is being discussed. These sites take money to run, so I'll gladly help out.

Thanks for the kind wishes!

Mike, I replied to your PM before I read this post, so you've got mail. I'd be happy to answer any questions about the pods if you haven't seen them in person yet. There are a few of our pillars in your area.

Jason, thanks for putting the pics up. Please let me clarify a couple things for those reading. The white cobra vert in the pics does not have our production pillar. The one in the pic is a hand made fiberglass prototype. The one with the raptor is an actual version of what we ship. You may note the texture of the production pillar perfectly matches the OEM interior.

The pic with the raptor does not show our new mount. It is mocked up in the correct position with 2-sided tape. Our raptor mount will be a stealth clip, not showing on the sides, which will give it a floating look when mounted. It should be ready soon.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for the email, but don't rush on my account. When you have the time to put it together works great for me.

And about the pillars - we won't be going anywhere soon, so when you're ready we won't be hard to find.

Alan,

I saw the Dual Pod A-pillars our your website. They look great!!!
Please keep us (SCMC) informed about new and upcoming products.
An A-pillar that holds a raptor performance shift light??? would be great.
I currently have my shift light bolted onto the stock a-pillar and it looks
OK. It sure would be nice to upgrade to a Speed of Sound a-pillar but I
would have to relocate my raptor perf. shift light.

Thanks again
