if anyone is interested in a cruise or get together in upstate New York, around the Lake George area, let me know, as I know the roads up there pretty good, and could help get something going in this area....great summer getaway with lots to do in the area!

That would be a cool idea. I've been up to Lake Placid many times. It is a nice area in the summer.

There are some really awesome roads in the Lake George area (like Rt 9) going north that I planned on cruising anyway. If we can get a group together it'd be even better. I know a great campground up there too in Warrensburg if any one wanted to camp out...

I have a house on the sacandaga, so I'm about 20 minutes west of lake george....the road around the lake is tons of fun to drive, a couple hundred turns and beautiful scenery between the lake and the mountains

Depending on the date, I am somewhat interested. My grandfather lived in Clintondale (near Orange County Chopperland) on the west side of the Hudson. I used to visit there in the 70's and 80's, went to Lake George, Ticonderoga, the Catskills, etc. Was NOT driving a Cobra back then.

Is mid-August good?

I think August is a good time. It's still warm out,but maybe a little less congested...It may be easier to find rooms available then but I would recommend trying to select a date and reserving as much in advance as possible. Its fairly busy there thru labor day.
There is plenty to do there aside of cruising. As NJ2000r mentioned there is rafting/tubing, also Six Flags Great escape/splashwater kingdom is there, plus go karts, plenty to do.Also there is a drive in movie theater, be especially fun for the convertibles.. :hatparty: .or just to bring chairs and hang out after a dinner at the MONTCALM..hint hint...right Ken? :woot: Hopefully the weather will cooperate for us,especially for those ppl that are traveling far. Ken and I can start mapping out some routes and jot down some ideas. Oh, And I almost forgot there is the Rodeo and Horseback riding... :bounce: YEEE_HAW!

I'm open as far as a date goes, and maybe we can even do a summer AND a fall cruise - the foliage is beautiful in early october!

I'm still planning on doing this, and hopefully I'll have a date soon....work has been very busy, and between working saturdays and alternating on the night shift one week out of the month makes it difficult to plan anything out....so bear with me please! I was just up there this weekend and checking out some good cruising roads!
