I went up to Modular Madness this past Friday to get some dyno runs in and I got some updated dyno numbers!
These numbers are ok for now, but in a few weeks they'll be changing again:D !

SWEET!! Are the mods in your sig up to date??

Yes, this dyno sheet is everything in my sig and nothing else!
In about 3 weeks, I'll be getting rid of my blower and replacing it with a Blowzilla 2200 (2.2L):D
Then later this year around December I'm going to throw some stage 2 or stage 3 Crower cams in it and really let it flow. Might up the boost on the Kenne Bell also! I'm thinking around 700+rwhp by this time next year!

I was wondering the same thing.

Nice numbers!!! As good as these cars run we should be happy with the stock horsepower #s. But it dont seem to work that way. Just wish i had more money for more mods. Maybe i will be good enough this year and santa will bring me a new supercharger. Ha Ha

:(:(:(:(

I thought you were going the Whipple route like I did?

And while I'm at it... where you gettin' a 2.2L Blowzilla? If it's used make sure it's not the "oil spraying" model

ShannonI was going to go with the Whipple, but I was up at Modular Madness and they had one just setting around, so I figured I'd take it off there hands. It's the new style without the "oil spray" I did my research on it and asked questions about it. It was on another car for about 200 miles, before the guy switched to the Procharger set-up. Paul knows you and we tried to call you, but you didn't answer.
So is it worth it?

Nice numbers Jason! A little unbelievable with just a pulley change, CAI mod, and a heat exchanger change. But definitely outstanding numbers!

 ..i gotta see this freak in action...sure there's not a 50shot on there? That torque is high as hell...not doubting you at all, but man...your blower's not even ported...

Never seen #'s anywhere close to those (especially the tq.) on a non-ported Eaton with the minimal mods you have. Then I noticed it was a Mustang dyno which made me wonder even more. :doubt:

I must have missed something somewhere?

I got the dyno run done at Modular Madness. I had it tuned by another place, but I'm going to have Modular re-tune it before Dragday probably. The first tuner put way too much timing in it 24 degrees, this is way too much timing for this set-up so the numbers are high because of that. When I get it retuned I'll probably be around 480rwhp or so. I'm still happy with it though, and it's been running really well, so I may just leave it like it is until I get the Kenne Bell installed.:)

Yep, 24 is pretty aggressive unless you run good gas.

Sounds like you have a nice strong motor in that car, but that tq. # is still hard to believe. :doubt:

If it responds that well to a non-ported Eaton, I can only imagine what your KB #'s are gonna look like. Good luck.

Does not add up is more like it. :doubt: I would like to see that backed up on a dynojet dyno for a comparison....and I would like to see the A/F ratio.

The dropout at 5600 is brutal...somethin aint right.

My air/fuel ratio is 11.8 throughout, the reason the dip is there around 5650rpms is cause I'm pegging my MAF:(

with those mods you should have enough meter at 5650, all though your Cobra is making about 50-60 more hp than any other car I have seen with your mods which is hard for me to believe. What was your base run stock?.....and your saying the A/F does not start to go lean at 5650?

Jason, if you guys are up to it, there's a big car meet going on in the UNCC area on Saturday afternoon...I was planning on heading up there, if the car gets put back together in time :D ...let me know if you're interested and we can meet up

Better get an SCT MAF or MAF Xtender and re-tune quick. Pegged MAF is a sure way to bust a motor.

the one area of my tune that is not fully perfect is my maf getting pegged @5500 with the 2.2 blowzilla my a/f is 11.7 to redline though and I figured that (and was told by my motor guy) that the computer goes with its last good data and my injectors are wide open anyway at that point. I guess if I was leaning out or heard some knock I would be concerned .I also seldom push it above 5500 anyway except on a dyno. should I be worried?

Is your 11.7 A/F through redline on a dyno or logging on the street? If you have a WB, you should check it on the street. If you're not too crazy driving it you may be OK, but since a MAFExtender is only like $100, plus whatever your tuner would want for a retune, I would get it done for piece of mind. Small price to pay considering what's at stake.

I know you've had good luck so far though. If you don't remember, I was talking to you about your KB the week I bought my car almost a year ago. Thanks again for all the advice and time you spent (both PMing and on the phone) getting me started with my Cobra. :D

Well, I'm going to be at the dragday all day on Saturday, and the club goes out to eat afterwards. We probably won't get back until around 9pm or so?

What Tony said, you aren't even going to come to dragday?:) It's going to be a blast!!

Those numbers are BS. Find me another cobra with your mods and your numbers on a mustang dyno. I can tell you right now you will not. I'm not saying it's your fault, but I suspect there is something wrong with that dyno.

If those numbers are what you want to believe go right ahead. I have over 5000 posts on svtperformance and I must of seen over 1000 dynosheet and I've never seen those numbers on a unported eaton without spray.

Bassin,

There's a right way to say say things and a wrong way to say things and this is not SVT Performance so you can take that way of expressing your opinion back over there. If you wanted to be helpful and constructive that's one thing, but your tone said something else when I read your post.

Bassin247, I never said that I believe those numbers!
I agree with everyone else here in saying that those numbers are really high for the mods I've got right now.
In reality, my rwhp "should be" around 460 - 470 or so...

But, you are right about one thing, it's not my fault. I was there when they did the pull, I only got one pull, cause I just needed some readings after my tune the week before. I'm not going around and saying I have that much power, I just thought that I'd post it to see if everyone thought the same as me.

I'm getting the KB installed in a few weeks anyway, so these numbers don't mean anything to me anyways!

No harm done!

By the way, Welcome to our board!:D

I was planning on coming down Saturday, but my car wont be running til the afternoon...getting a few other things installed saturday morning :bounce: ...good luck at the strip and let me know what that beast runs...I mean, if you trap 125mph, then their dyno wasnt off afterall...

btw--we need to get up after you get the KB installed...Im curious to see what the F1-A does against the Blowzilla, if nothing for personal reasons, just tired of getting criticized horribly for going that route...

I've read this post a few times now and there is something that is still bothering me. First off, props to you Jason for posting the dyno sheet and still keeping a good attitude about the whole thing.

Now then, my questions are 1) Is this an in house dyno or does someone bring a portable dyno to Modular Madness? 2) Wouldn't a technician that does any kind of work on 03/04 Cobras realize that 586 ft/lbs of torque with minimal mods be completely ridiculous and then go back and try to figure out what was wrong especailly since a mustang dyno is known to give lower readings.

I just feel as if there is more to this story than we know (Jason you sure you didn't get that KB installed :D ) and it also makes me very skeptical about having work done on my car there. Not meant to be a flame but just my concerns :) .

Cool. I bought my 2.2 from Don last year. He is a good man and should take nice care of you. I would have him tune your car. You won't get wacky numbers like those from him.

It is an in house dyno! They do all the tuning and dyno testing themselves no 3rd party involved.

not to bring this back up...but if you ran a 12.4@113....there's no way that their dyno is anywhere close to being right...im not picking on you or trying to start anything, just think you should go somewhere else and have them look at your car...with those numbers, you shouldve been in the 120mph range at least...
