I was following one of the threads on blower porting and went to the steigermeyer web page to check it out. He had a write up on how there was an issue with loss of torque after reinstalling the ported blowers back in the car. He determined and corrected the cause by manually disabling the booster bypass. I have asked this question on the speedworx forum a while back and had a pretty good reply from Dr Watso. Is there some new info on whether or not this is a good idea or not? And what exactly it is that it does?
Thanks

This can be done by a tuner, I wouldn't recommend "manually" changing the vacuum lines on the boost.
This is needed when changing out the pulley because the cars have a max boost from factory (8 psi) and when changing out the pulley, it allows you to get the full boost instead of dropping off at 8psi!:)

www.rpmonline.com (http://www.rpmonline.com) has a whole free write up about it. It gives the information and directions how to perform it yourself. I heard that it is recomended with the smaller pulleys.
