Hi All -
Joined the Club this afternoon, and just wanted to start my own thread of introduction!
Bought my 99 Cobra in 2001 used from a dealer, with 21k under the hood. Car was flawless until last year when according to DJ Ford in monroe, a tab broke off one of the rod bearings at 48k (Im lost on that whole thing) and was ingested through the bottom end... On the bright side - my aftermarket warranty foot the bill for a brand spanking new 4.6 crate from detroit, with another 36k of engine warranty from Ford! (Only took 6 weeks to get the car back)
I now have 3k on the new motor and want to get back to a few Mods on the car! Thus far... Its really very stock! The original owner added a few small things... Shifter, Flowmaster Catback system, K&N etc... When the engine change took place, I immediately noticed a more throaty sound from the exhaust, but I also noticed a loss in the SOTP feel! I am sure the original owner also had a custom tune on the chip... which I now need to look at myself!
Anyhow... Welcome to me (I hear you all cheering out there)
Mark
