Are there any (very) knowledgable mechanics in the Charlotte area that work on Mustangs/Cobras? I picked up a stock 1993 Cobra with only 16k miles and am thinking about a supercharger but have to do some more research on alternatives, other additions with it, etc. I can wrench a bit but not sure I want to take this on.
thx.

Have you ever heard of Amazon Racing?
They were based out of MD, but they are going to be moving to Anderson, SC at the end of June and will be able to help you out!
Other places;
True Blue Performance - Raliegh, NC
Custom Performance - Concord, NC
Your best bet would be to contact the folks at Amazon Racing www.amazonracing.com (http://www.amazonracing.com)

Dale, at Custom Performance is very knowledgeable. Just did some work for me plus you get a club discount.
Not saying AR and True blue are not. But you did ask for the Charlotte area.

Advanced Performance in Indianland, NC
That's where my 94 Cobra will go to!

Custom Performance did my exhaust work..........reason I said Amazon Racing is because they do all the tuning in-house and don't use a third party like other places.
But yeah, bottom line is Dale has great knowledge on these cars!

Thx, I'll go visit them maybe this weekend.
I just got an online quote for a Powerdyne Supercharger Kit (6psi I think) from SuperchargersOnline.com*: $1,740.00
This sounds interesting as it doesn't use the oil cooling system. But I need to do more research and find out just how eary/hard it is to bolt in :)
I am in Charlotte -- and just sold my 1992 907ie which i had since new (over 47k miles).
BTW - there is an informal moto show in the parking lot in front of Old Navy on Rt 51 (Aboretum) every Saturday night startng about 6pm. I may head back this week.

The guys over at Undergroundracing know their stuff too...they are swamped with work right now, but if you're willing to wait a little bit, they're probably the best around. I may stop by that little meet next weekend, i got plans tomorrow night, but if it's not raining, look for an '04 black cobra w/ black wheels :D

Fastlane in Benson, did my car and a great many others, they are nice guys and do a great job.
They do vortechs, kenny belle, and even turbo setups. You should see that turbo mustang run.
