Well I was going to wait for when everyone got together for the karting event next Saturday but I guess I can ask now. I need to know an answer to this question. What time should I set up the tour? Times available are
1) 5:15 p.m.
2) 7:15 p.m.
3) 9:15 p.m.
Please post the time you think would be a good time for all of us to get together on Saturday night, thanks.
Hotel and event iformation you will need is as follows:
SCMC Ghost Tour - Saturday October 22, 2005

Reference Code - SVT Cobra Club
Prices - $129.00 interior room or $139.00 for Riverview room
Cutoff Date for reservations - September 21. 2005

This is a two night, three day event with no car show, no track event, no Cobra related events. It is us just taking a break from all of the work we have done this year and a time to relax in the huge lobby with TV and just chat, watch video, or whatever.
There are a ton of things to do in Charleston, SC. I need to know if anyone is interested in doing the following:
Going over to Fort Sumter (By Boat)
Going to the Battery
Taking a carriage ride in downtown
Just sightseeing the historic district (You can literally walk for miles)
Going to the Isle of Palms for the afternoon (beach)
Or anything else you can think of?
Please post the time you think is best for a big group tour and what you would like to do and what we will do is match up everyone in groups on things they want to do together.
Thanks...

My preference would be the 7:15 tour since we will most likely have the kids with us.
As far as the other events, the carriage ride sounds like fun (depending on cost) along with the sight seeing and the Battery sounds interesting. Been to Fort Sumter, and would rather do something than spend the whole day on the beach.
I have a cousin that lives in Charleston and will try to get in touch with her to see if she has any other suggestions.

7:15 would be good also...there's a ton of things to do, most of which involve walking and shopping...Ive been down there so many times it's ridiculous...I would go just for the Ghost Tour (one thing i havent done :D )

Hey Folks,
The Southern Mustang and Ford Club in Charleston is having a Poker Run the morning of Oct 22nd. Your all invited, sure to be a great time as it has been every year.
The Poker Run ends up in the local Charleston area where a BBQ will be held.
See some very interesting sights and meet some great people and be back in Charleston for the Ghost Tour. Sure to be a great time!
Mind if some of the SMAF members tag along for the Ghost Tour?
We look forward to seeing everyone in November at the races in Jackson!

A little info about the Poker Run..
The second stop is "Rocks Ford Goodies". That place is a Ford lovers dream! An all Ford junk yard in the country (not too far from Charleston). Everything from complete engines, rooms full of rare parts and great prices.
Not sure if your aware of this. Beaufort, SC antique shops have been featured on TV, multiple magazines and major newspapers all over the US. The wife and I went shopping for a few hours and that place is nothing short of amazing!
Starting at Northwood Mall Parking Lot, across from Hooter's at 9:00
First stop: Simmons Machine and Balancing...
Second stop: Rock's Ford Goodies
Stop in Walterboro for lunch
Third Stop: Turbo Boost Race Shop in Beaufort
Fourth and final stop: Residents of Warren Sloane, James Island
At Warrens there will be a cook out, winning Poker Hand Contest, and Bidding for prizes with 2nd Poker Hand.......
Estimated milage 100 miles.

We had a great time in Charleston this weekend. We went to the new SC Aquarium, drove down to Folly Beach with the top down, did the Ghost tour and went to Drayton Hall on the way home. The weather was perfect for the weekend except for the drive down on Friday. Otherwise, perfect droptop weather. I did not take any pictures but hopefully, Allan will upload some!
