Side trip at CMP

Craig Mathis and I along with some other friend were at CMP on Sunday the 17. It started to rain and I took a little side trip.:eek:

This is coming out of turn 7 going into turn 8. I was running about 105 mph slowing down to about 60 mph.:D

any major damage? It didn't look too bad, but i did see the car shake when it was rammed to a stop. Just curious

Glad it wasn't anything too serious! Honestly, I don't like goin over 40 in my Cobra when it's rainin....way too twitchy for me :eek:

No the car did not get hurt other than some paint work. Got lucky and the car was caught by a ditch about an inch from some trees. Peeled the fron left tire off the rim also. Worse part was on the way home I had a flat and had to call Roadside assistance to come and get me. The tire that went flat was thrashed so I ended up buying two new tires.

Glad you are ok and I'm glad to hear the damage wasn't to bad!
I did the same thing at Road Atlanta when my oil cooler lost a gasket and sprayed oil on my tires (my James Bond mod, except it's supposed to spray on the other cars tires!), EXCEPT I hit a tire wall...TWICE! It wasn't pretty!

Will the car be ready for Mustang week? I'll be down on Friday afternoon with the family.

That is why I have not run Road Atlanta yet. I know that I would kiss a wall or something. I will pick the car up on Monday morning so I will have it for Mustang Week. home # 843-361 0299 call when you get in town.:thumbsup:

Glad you made it out okay and the car isn't hurt too bad. That's one reason we pick tracks with plenty of run off and little to no barriers. You would like Gingerman or Little Talladega for the same reasons.
