The car has a full Maximum Motorsports chassi including coilovers, k-member, torque arm / panhard bar, etc. It has a 331 stroker hooked to a reworked T-5 with a .8 fifth gear and a Torsen T2R diff with 3.73 gears. Brembo brakes up front and Cobra brakes on the rear. Full cage, fuel cell and the car weights about 3100 with me in it!

And before any one ask no it is not coming to 411 this weekend. I am getting it ready for Barber next week with the MCA.

Damn, sounds like a helluva car. So why the need for TWO track cars?

The Blue tape will be making an apearance...just in the form of a Convertable:D
My father's Mystic will be making it's first 411 run! It would be sweet to see dueling mystics...someday Tony will take the dust cover off his, stop scheduling "conflicting dates":doubt: ,and bring it back to the track.

I was slowly but surely turning the vert into a dedicated track car and at the same time breaking it in half!! Verts just are not built for dedicated track use. I ran up on a great deal on this car and decided to grab it. I am trying to decide what I am going to do with the vert. I may keep it as a street car and put the stock interior back in or  I may sell it.

Hazman 08-25-2006 05:21 PM

Ok one person has dropped due to no motor in his car!

But we still have a nearly full slate!!

Looking forward to seeing everyone Sunday morning
There will be four run groups of ~10 cars each
Work schedule:
1 works while 3 runs
2 works while 4 runs
3 works while 1 runs
4 works while 2 runs

See ya there!

BenS 08-25-2006 06:05 PM

Thanks for squeezin' me in there Rick. ;)

So each "group" will get 4 runs then break for lunch, and then come back and do 4 more runs?

CathDoc 08-25-2006 07:59 PM

Guess what's baaaaaaaack! :D

Looks like I will have to come up with some other excuses :p

i guess i'm picking up the trailer in the morning?

rick, you think we should put all the newbs in group 2 so they can ride/watch before they run?
not that i really care if they get the course right or not. but it will force them to stick around and pick up cones after we're done.

Hazman 08-25-2006 09:48 PM

Kelly

I am picking up the trailer tomorrow evening and dropping it at the track. If you could take it back it would be great.

TonyBolton 08-26-2006 01:57 PM

Rick, you have your work cut out for you when you get the trailer. They had timer failure before we even got the first car off and we had to STOPWATCH the whole event.

Hopefully you can figure out what the problem is.

OvenMitts 08-26-2006 03:24 PM

I'll be showin' up tomorrow. Hope my SUBARU can keep up

Thanks for a great first time event for me! Everyone was really friendly, and seemed to have fun. I reached my three goals: have a good time, don't destroy my car, and learn!! Thanks to everyone!

SVTMADMAN 08-28-2006 07:14 AM

Well since I know that I am the first one up and at work here in the buckeye state, I will say thanks again! What a great weekend. we all made it up there safe, had a fricken blast in our cars, and made it home without any problems! Can't wait to see ya'll again next year

Hazman 08-28-2006 07:47 AM

Hey Mike

Glad you guys came down. Oh and I have one of your trailer wheel chocks. You left it in the track paddock.

Made it in ontime myself to work (8am), sunburnt and all. Well worth it, it was a blast! Thanks angain to Rick and Jane and also to my fellow buckeye's that made the trip that much more enjoyable. I'm assuming Mike then that your dad and Mike made it home ok to Clevelend then?

RagHead had a few comments to :p :D

mojosvt 08-28-2006 09:25 AM

Thanks rick, I knew I was going to forget it. I even told myself, but that didn't help obviously.

Yeah, everybody made it home. That storm we went through was pretty crazy.

mojo dad 08-28-2006 09:52 AM

Rick, thanks to you and Jane for your hospitality. We all had a lot of fun. I think Mike R and Mark P are hooked. I'm going to work on my braking and cornering in my subdivision.

We made it home in good shape. I was in bed at 2:30am. 500 miles from the track to my garage. No issues, other than rain north of Lexington. Well worth it and I'm sure we will be down for atleast 1 session next year. Not sure I will see you in Gingerman.

Ditto that. Thanks again Rick and Jane for all your help and hospitality, you couldn't ask for a better group of people. My initial 88 time is a milestone that I will never forget:rotf: , and I'm sure Chris Anderson won't let me. C'ya hopefully next spring.....Mark.

SvilleCobra 08-28-2006 10:26 AM

The previous comments say it all....
I am hooked and will be back w/ a brother or two in tow.

Thanks Rick and Jane for the work, hospitality, and experience. Great people make great events.

I made it home and was in bed 2:30-ish...at work now. My energy drink buzz has won off and I need 12 hrs of sleep.

Have a great holiday weekeknd all.

Mercutio 08-28-2006 11:24 AM

Thanks to those who organized and put on the event. I had fun throwing the white whale around the banks trying to chase all the Mustang boys and the others. Anyone have any pictures of my Thunderbird on the course? Good meeting you guys, too.
