I disagree. Everyone paid for 8 runs. If you choose to drive 8 different cars, then that's the drivers perogative. Seems to me that you drove more than one car at this event too. When will you be sending in your 2nd $45?

As far as the "run what you brung" goes - not everyone can afford to "brung" a $65K Z06 or a $130K Porsche GT3. But if you can con a drive in someone else's, you should get credit for the time.

Just MHO.

That statement by me was intended to be read as a petulant child trying to change the rules to fit the way the outcome of the event would most favor him. I have no problem whatsoever in all seriousness if Jayne is willint to turn the Madman loose with her car. :p

(Note she doesn't let Rick drive it though!) :D

LeadSSled 06-26-2006 08:48 AM

I've always thought of you more as a "Flatulent Child" than a petulant one. :D

The little white vert is BACK!!!:D Yep yesterday was a good day. Ran a personal best of 63.188 and I felt that I left some time on the course a few places. My fault not the cars though. :( All the top 5 cars were on new or very fresh, very sticky rubber except one. The white rabbit we all like to chase was on year old tires and definitely underpowered compared to the other cars in that group. It has gotten to the point that you need to be in the 64s to get into the top ten now! Everyone is improving and it is great to see folks having this much fun.

Who knows next time we might go for 12 runs each if we can control the Cone KING. Speaking of which I counted up the cones and it was no contest the Cone KING had nearly double the number of cones of anyone else. Way to go Terry:rotf:

I appreciate all of you who attend and thanks for pitching in and helping. Kelly thanks for picking up and returning the equipment trailer!!! I knew if I called the taxi stand I cold get that delivery made. :p With everyone keeping the pace going we all got 8 runs yesterday had plenty of fun and we wrapped up around 4:00PM. I actually got home before dark and got the times posted!!;)

Thanks again folks and pass the word we will be back in August!!!

Damn nice driving. I gotta say I did a double take when they announced your first 63sec run. "Damn, where'd he come from?"

So are Jayne's. Mine were track virgin's just like CathDoc. The white rabbit was on the same tires as last year but then he is so easy on tires you could almost call them virgin...NOT!!!

I don't know why but I am trying to give the white rabbit some slack.

As for the top three Vettes we will see what happens in August. Madman will be back in his stroker Z06 so he will be doing drifting displays instead of bringing it!!

We will see if CathDoc can repeat and as for you 03 Ragtop you are in my sights dude! I really think I can shave a second or two off and get into the low 62s or maybe even a 61.:fordflag: :burnout:

TonyBolton 06-26-2006 05:19 PM

Don't cut me any slack..........I did what I could with the same stuff I always bring. Looks like the others just had it goin' on, and in a big way!

I feel like Forest Gump.........."Somethin' just bit me!!!!"
