I just tried to book a room for the Auto Fair and it looks like everything is booked. I was able to get a room due to my status with Hilton at the Hampton Inn on Tryon just down the road from the Mickey D's. Where is everyone else staying???

Directions are very simple head north from the track on route 29 and make a right at the 11th traffic light. That's Florence Ave and Roma's is just ahead on the left. The traffic light immediately before you turn is for the Lowe's Home Improvement store (there is also a bank and a tire store) and you can see the next light where you turn from the Lowe's light.

Tony. I received a map yesterday and the spot for the SVT Cobra Club is not listed. Do you know where we will be?

we are in the infield between the media center and garage ( pavilion display) bring tents if you have tehm protects from sun or rain!!! it is pavement so if it is sunny = hot! :eek: :eek:

Who all has tents so just in case we have some rain that wants to make an appearance. And what size are they so we will have enough room for everyone. I dont have one but I can make a trip to my 2nd home, Walmart to get one. Plus like Lisa said to help shade us from the sun when the black top begins to sizzle.:)

BTW, I called Dan over at ProDyno and set up a tune for Friday night so I could bring my dyno sheet to the show the next day. Im shooting for 300hp. Changed the oil to Royal Purple Racing formula-$10:eek: a quart and changed the plugs and wires and ran some sea foam through the PCV. I pulled 278hp with 268trq last year. Im sure Dan can find those horses grazing in there and put them to work.:D

Well I have a tent but it doesn't fit real well in the car anymore. I don't know if I'll be able to squeeze it in or not. I also don't remember what size it is but I did buy it at Wally World and it was less than $100.00. I'll try to fit mine in the car but no promises. I know Dave Stanfield has one that he'll probably bring and the club has one. We could use a couple of more to make room for most of us! Hell Blue, you and I take up one tent by ourselves! :eek: ;) :D :thumbsup:

I have a 10X10 instant canopy that I use for tailgating and it sets up in about 2 minutes!:thumbsup: I'll try to stuff it in my car somehow....it will definately help if I can put the top down. Pray for a really nice sunny day! See y'all Saturday morning.

Auto fair goes on RAIN or shine.... I will be at mcd's at 6:30 or so.... :D

What Lisa said....rain or shine. We are on the concrete in the center of the speedway and not in the grass. This is the best place to be located at the speedway. It's calling for thunderbumpers on and off tomorrow, hit or miss depending on where you are?? We are also close to the garage area so we can take shelter there till Mr Sun comes back out. Like Lisa, I'll be at Mickey D's at 6:30 a.m. as we are having a guest from Atlanta coming to this event to meet you and the rest of our club members. I know at one time everyone's car here as gotten wet so don't let a few showers(?) stop you from coming out.

Hey! I just wanted to let everyone know that I had a great time over the weekend for my first big event with the club!:thumbsup: It was great to see the turnout especially on Saturday with the unpleasant weather. I really enjoyed meeting everyone........most of y'all for the very first time and everyone has some really nice rides!:cool: Hey I also want to thank the judges who voted for my car in this event too. On Sunday it was pretty cool to shake Humpy's hand and get to talk to him some. I was kind of suprised he would to talk to an average joe off the street.:eek: Anyway, if anyone has any pics of my car please pm me, I forgot to bring my camera on Sunday. Also, it would be awesome to see pics posted of our Cobras on the website from both days of the show!:bounce:

One other thing, don't forget about the Pineville, NC Hooters Cruise-In on April 29th from 1pm-4pm! It is just south of Charlotte at I485 and South Blvd. Hope to see y'all there!:thumbsup: I will post on other sites too.
