I had a great time, it was good to see a few familiar faces again
|
I also had a great time, saw some nice Stangs.
|
Had a great time myself. Meet some new people and saw some "old" faces too..... :rotf: . Seriously had a great time, what a day for it.
First time and the dyno and pleasantly surprised. 1st run 435.44 hp 395.05 tq 2nd run 431.52hp 390.87tq 3rd run 426.62hp 389.70tq Not to bad for a K&N cold air and full Bassani catted exhaust. Guess pullies and a custom tune are next........or maybe a Kenne Bell......... |
Greg,
You're sick! :D Looks like I'm going to have to do a few more mods to get to where you are at right now! ;) Tony |
I had a great time myself, but I was no where near anyone else's.
Mine was: 1st run 219.18 hp 271.39 tq 12.65 a/f 2nd run 219.01 hp 270.84 tq 13.09 a/f 3rd run 220.65 hp 269.90 tq 13.02 a/f But that was with a stock 95 Cobra. Hoping for a nice gain when the exhaust is bolted up! :bounce: |
Great time!!!!
I had a great time at the event, and got to meet a few of the members. Kinda got there late, so I missed most. I also didn't produce numbers anywhere close to most. Best run was 273.84 hp and 270.70 torque.I was wondering if these numbers sound about right. It is stock witht the exception of 2 1/2" X-pipe and K&N filter. Also the dyno run only went to 6200 rpm, which was where the hp peak was. Does anyone know if the '99 will produce power after this, I had heard that it should peak at around 6500 rpm. Once again, I had a great time. You have a great bunch of guys, and some truly nice and healthy snakes:D

Power will peak right around 6,000 rpm (+/-) so yours is fine. The only reason you continue to pull the gear is that when you shift you want the rpms to drop back into the meat of your power, not below it. Plus since power is dropping you'll still be making more in the higher rpms than if you shifted at peak and dropped down into the low rpms. Sounds like everyone had fun......I haven't seen Tony post his numbers yet.......or did I miss a thread somewhere. |
I'm not sure you want to hear my numbers and I am afraid JLT isn't going to be too happy. I'm waiting on Dan to send me the data and when I can analyze each 1000 rpm increment I will give you all the full scoop.
BTW, Silver Strike made 398 rwhp and 475 ft lbs of torque in his Lightning. The funniest part about the whole event was when there was about 10 people under my car helping to put the catback on. That had to be a funny sight and Snapps got the pictures so I'll try to get him to post them. All in all, it was a great day to dyno. I want to give a BIG special thanks to Robbie Helton. he helped me all day to put on the mods and to John Pearson for taking me to get a new clamp for the exhaust. (I broke the bolts off of one of the pipes). Thanks Y'all! :) |
Andrew,
You can see my 94 Cobra dyno results with the MAC OR-pipe here: http://www.svtcobraclub.com/forums/s...591#post127591 Tony |
Thanks TCrews for the info. My A/F was right around 13 for the full pull. It fluctuated above and below, but only very slightly. The X-pipe is OR with mil eliminators. Guess I just expected it might get some more. Oh well, back to the mods right! Have to put on the springs(STEEDA), then time to spend some money! Once again thanks for the info.

I don't know why the numbers are so low. I thought for sure I'd be in the mid 230's. Maybe the mufflers need to be replaced too?? Seems like the snake is still bottled up. If I knew the muffler change would give me some extra hp then I would change them out too. :doubt:
