Apparently they're all scared of the vert. Gotta run on street tires to give everyone else a chance this year. ;)

Hazman 03-22-2006 06:00 PM

List updated only 13 spots left for April 9th:bounce:

sambo300 03-22-2006 09:46 PM

Rick......Got a member in my hometown here that has a 1994 Cobra. It's Tony Hathaway. Don't see too much of him,any way you could find his e-mail address and tell him about the 411 AutoX events?

TonyBolton 03-23-2006 04:44 PM

I can't find a registration form link to this/these events. The one I find on the SVT mainpage is a broken link for me. :(

Hazman 03-23-2006 05:35 PM

Look at the bottom of the first post in this thread. You will find a MS Word document version of the form. I have let our webmaster know about the broken link.

TonyBolton 03-29-2006 11:46 AM

Rick, be on the look-out for some money. I sent in entry fee to cover all 3 events today.

Tony must have hit the Powerball. He never pays anything in advance. :D
Glad to hear that you will be there. It just wouldn't be the same without you.

Well.........you save a lil' dough when you buy all three. ;) I like running the laid back SVT events. Gives you a break from all the "autocross talk/technique" and just lets you go out there and have a blast! My car is no open track warrior, but myself and the car like speeds in the 70-90mph range.

psycho43142 03-29-2006 04:52 PM

I'm looking for a good place to stay for the event, any advice would be appreciated.

Chris

I've stayed at the Knoxville Microtel and liked it. Rooms are small but they are clean and the staff is friendly.

tones688 03-31-2006 02:42 PM

Following up on Chris's question as to whether there was a group of us staying at any particular spot (hotel) Saturday night or is it a fend for yourself type of deal?

cobrabitn 03-31-2006 10:16 PM

The Microtel is a good place and is relatively inexpensive. They have indoor corridors and I think continental breakfast. Jason, can you give the hotel information and maybe they can all hang with you there?

Thanks,

Stavesacre21 04-01-2006 02:16 AM

I regret to say that I'm not gonna be able to make it to the April event fellas. :( I have however talked to rick about it and it looks like i'm just gonna back my registration up till one of the latter events this year. Sorry to break all those hearts out there :p

I'll beat you all yet

mwahahaha

Sure thing. I won't be there, but that's probably more of a good thing for them.

Looks fine to me. I'll call tomorrow (Monday) and get a reservation for Sat night. I'll confirm with you then.

Hazman 04-03-2006 07:47 AM

Microtel is a good place. Low cost, clean and close to lots of restaurants. Sorry I have not responded sooner the last few days have been kinda rough!:(

Why do you think we kepp letting Chad come to the Cruise-In's? :D

BenS 04-08-2006 04:55 PM

Hazman,

I will be there tomorrow hoping to get one of the remaining slots. I've ran the last two events and its been a blast. I've been unemployed for the last four months or so, and just last week started working again. I wasn't sure if I'd have the extra money to come, so I didn't register early like I usually do.

If I don't get a spot, that's OK too. :)

Let's get ready to rumble!!!.....

OvenMitts 04-08-2006 10:29 PM

Wish I could make it to this one, but $45 is too steep for me right now, and my car needs some attention before going around the oval again. Maybe a student discount for future events? :D

Have fun out there guys.

It's actually only 30$ if you get all 3 ;) Thats a 15$ discount right there for EACH event! Damn, next you'll be wantin' us to top your gas tank off, too! :baby:

:rotf:

Hey wait...........aren't you one of the brave one's that travels out of state to just autox? I can assure you 30$ is ALOT cheaper than doin' that too.

Tyler H 04-09-2006 06:53 PM

Hey! Just wanted to say thanks for a great time. It was great to come and get beaten by the taxi cabs. We are planning to be at the future events.

I probably woulda won, too if it weren't for that cursed Tony Bolton. ;)

budjrfan 04-09-2006 07:16 PM

same ole, same ole......... HAD A FRICKIN BLAST!!!

same ole, same ole......... tony get's top honors. congrats man you are a machine behind the wheel.

not the same ole.... guess it was my turn to take first loser behind tony. but hey, i'll take it. :D

(note to self, forget tryin to mess with tony's car at the track. just go by his house the night before and let the air out of all the truck tires and the trailor queen won't show.... :vampsmile )
